Caitlyn Strachan
Caitlyn Nevins (born 1 June 1987), also known as Caitlyn Strachan, is a former Australia national netball team, Australia netball international. Between 2014 ANZ Championship season, 2014 and 2016 ANZ Championship season, 2016, she was a member of three successive ANZ Championship winning teams. She won her first title with the 2014 Melbourne Vixens season, 2014 Melbourne Vixens before winning the 2015 ANZ Championship season, 2015 and 2016 titles with Queensland Firebirds. She was a member of the Victorian Fury teams that won Australian Netball League titles in 2009, 2013 and 2014. Early life, family and education Strachan is the daughter of Lyn and Rob Strachan. Australian Netball League
The Australian Netball Championships, formerly the Australian Netball League, is an Australian netball competition. Since 2008 it has served as a second level competition, initially below the ANZ Championship and later below Suncorp Super Netball. It is organised by Netball Australia. The teams in the competition are effectively the reserve teams of Suncorp Super Netball teams and/or the representative teams of state netball leagues, such as the South Australia state netball league, the Victorian Netball League and the West Australian Netball League. 2019 Suncorp Super Netball Season
The 2019 Suncorp Super Netball season was the third season of the premier netball league in Australia. The season began on 27 April and concluded on 15 September 2019, however it was suspended for most of the month of July due to the Netball World Cup, which was played in Liverpool. The New South Wales Swifts won the premiership, defeating two-time defending premiers Sunshine Coast Lightning by 17 goals in the Grand Final at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. Overview Teams Format The season is played over fourteen rounds, allowing every team to play each other twice, once at home and once away. 2015 Queensland Firebirds Season
The 2015 Queensland Firebirds season saw the Queensland Firebirds netball team compete in the 2015 ANZ Championship. With a team coached by Roselee Jencke, captained by Laura Geitz and featuring Romelda Aiken, Clare McMeniman and Kim Ravaillion, Firebirds won the Australian Conference, the Challenge Trophy, the minor premiership and the overall championship. Firebirds narrowly defeated New South Wales Swifts in both the Australian Conference final and the Grand Final on their way to effectively winning four titles. Madi Robinson
Madison “Madi” Browne (born 5 January 1988) is an Australian netball player who has been one of the most successful Australian Netball players to play in the British Netball Superleague for Leeds Rhinos Netball. Early life Madison Browne played for South Barwon Football and Netball Club when she was younger. Her sister Kelsey also played in A grade for South Barwon before joining Madison at the Magpies Netball in the Suncorp Super Netball league. Their father Mark played Australian rules football for Geelong in the 1970s. Brooke Thompson (born 27 April 1984) is a former Australian netball player. She was a member of the Melbourne Vixens team that won the 2009 ANZ Championship. Mwai Kumwenda
Mwai Kumwenda ' (born 27 September 1989) is a Malawi netball international player. She represented Malawi at the 2010, 2014 and 2018 Commonwealth Games and at the 2011 and 2015 Netball World Cups. The Victorian Netball League is a state netball league featuring teams from Victoria, Australia. The league is organised by Netball Victoria. The modern league was first played for during the 2009 season. It replaced an earlier state league as the top level netball competition in Victoria. Best And Fairest
In Australian sport, the best and fairest award recognises the player(s) adjudged to have had the best performance in a game or over a season for a given sporting club or competition. The awards are sometimes dependent on not receiving a suspension for misconduct or breaching the rules during that season. In the Australian Football League (AFL), the Brownlow Medal is awarded to the player who, provided he has not been suspended during the season, receives the most votes from the umpires for being the Fairest and Best player in games during the home and away season. In each game, the umpires award three votes to the player they judge to be the best afield in that game, two votes to the second-best player and one vote to the third-best player.
