Café Rico is a Puerto Rican corporation that manufactures coffee branded by the same name. The company's headquarters are located at Avenida Las Americas/ Route 163 and Calle Comercio/ Route 133 in Barrio San Antón in the city of Ponce, Puerto Rico. The company used to be called ''Cooperativa de Cafeteros'' (Coffee-growers Cooperative). Oreste Ramos Díaz is a Puerto Rican intellectual, lawyer, politician and former senator. He served as a member of the Senate of Puerto Rico from 1977 to 1996, representing the New Progressive Party (PNP). Ramos was first elected to the Senate of Puerto Rico at the 1976 elections. He represented the District of San Juan, and was reelected in 1980, 1984, 1988, and 1992. In 2008, Ramos attempted a comeback, but was defeated at the PNP primaries. Andrés Grillasca Salas (6 January 1888 – 19 December 1973) was a Puerto Rican farmer from Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, and Mayor of Ponce, Puerto Rico, from 2 January 1941 to 9 May 1956. Until the 1990s administration of Rafael Cordero Santiago, Grillasca Salas had the distinction of being the longest-serving mayor of the city (16 years). He was known to always dress in white clothes. Early years Grillasca Salas was born in the neighboring town of Adjuntas in 1888. He was the son of Francisco Grillasca and Jesusa Salas.
