CS Marítimo Do Porto Novo
Clube Sportivo or Club Sport Marítimo do Porto Novo (Capeverdean Crioulo, ALUPEC or ALUPEK: ''Marítimu'', Santo Antão Crioulo: ''Marítimo'', São Vicente Crioulo: ''Marítim''' meaning the maritime) is a football club that had played in the Premier division and plays in the Santo Antão Island League South Zone in Cape Verde. It is based in the town of Porto Novo in the northern part of the island of Santo Antão. History The club was founded on September 25, 1981 and is an affiliate to CS Marítimo of the Madeira Islands. It is the only Cape Verdean club affiliated to a Madeiran club. The team is now the only team in the division that won only one title since the breakup of the island division in 1997. Estádio Municipal Do Porto Novo
Estádio Municipal do Porto Novo is a multi-purpose stadium in Porto Novo, Cape Verde just about a l=kilometer west of the city center on the road connecting Porto Novo and places west of the island including Norte and Tarrafal de Monte Trigo. It is currently used mostly for football matches along with athletics. The stadium is owned by the municipality of Porto Novo and are operated by the Santo Antão South Regional Football Association (ARFSSA) and the Santo Antão Regional Athletics Association (ARASA). The stadium holds about 3,000 to 4,000 people and has seat rows in the left sides. The stadium is home to the Santo Antão Island League South Zone's clubs including Académica, Fiorentina, Marítimo, Sanjoanense and Sporting. Its size is 105 by 68 m. Sporting Clube de Porto Novo (Capeverdean Crioulo, ALUPEC or ALUPEK: ''Sporting Klubi di Purtu Nobu'') is a football club that had played in the Premier division and plays in the Santo Antão Island South Zone Division in Cape Verde. 2010 Cape Verdean Football Championships
The 2010 Cape Verdean Football Championship season was the 31st of the competition of the first-tier football in Cape Verde. Its started on 8 May, slightly later than the last season and finished on 10 July, later than last year. The tournament was organized by the Cape Verdean Football Federation. It was the second consecutive time that the final featured two clubs from the same island and city, the next time it happened would be five years later. It brought the Capital Rivalry between Sporting and Boavista to the national championships. Porto Novo Cup
The Porto Novo Cup is a regional football (soccer) cup competition played during the season in the southern and westernmost parts of Santo Antão Island, Cape Verde. The winner participates in the Cape Verdean Cup. The cup tournament is organized by the Santo Antão South Regional Football Association (Associação Regional de Futebol de Zona Sul do Santo Antão, ARFZSSA). The first entrant was in 2007. Since 2013, there were no entrants to the national cup due to financial concerns.
