CSM Moinești
Club Sportiv Municipal Moinești, commonly known as CSM Moinești, or simply as Moinești, is a Romanian amateur football club based in Moinești, Bacău County, founded in 1948 under the name of ''Petrolul Moinești''. The club was declared bankrupt in 2009 and was re-founded as CSM Moinești. CSM is currently playing in the Liga IV and never played higher than Liga II, second tier of the Romanian football league system. History The club was founded in 1948 as Petrolul Moinești and takes its name from the oil production in the Moinești region. In 1950 the name was changed to Flacăra Moinești. Renamed as Energia Moinești, the club played for the first time in Divizia C in the 1956 season finishing eighth in Series I. Divizia B
The Liga 2, most often spelled as Liga II, is the second level of the Romanian football league system. The league changed its name from Divizia B just before the start of the 2006–07 Liga II, 2006–07. It is currently Sponsor (commercial), sponsored by Casa Pariurilor, a betting company with the official name Liga 2 Casa Pariurilor. Format Divisions Since its inception in 1934, Liga II had between 2 and 9 parallel divisions, with clubs divided based on geographic regions. Generally, Seria I included eastern teams while Seria II included western sides, although clubs near the center of the country are allowed to choose in which series they will compete. The first six teams from each series participate in a play-off for potential promotion to Liga I. The teams placed from 7th to 12th will play a relegation play-off, where the last two teams are relegated to Liga III. 2005–06 Divizia B
The 2005–06 Divizia B was the 66th season of the second tier of the Romanian football league system. The format has been maintained to three series, each of them consisting of 16 teams. At the end of the season, the winners of the series promoted to Liga I, Divizia A and the last six places from all the series relegated to Liga III, Divizia C. A promotion play-off was played between the runners-up of the Divizia B series to decide the fourth promoted team. A special ranking was made between the 10th place teams of every series and the team with the worst ranking in this standing was relegated, as well. These changes in promotion and relegation rules were made because starting with the next season, Romanian football league system was reformed. 2006–07 Liga III
The 2006–07 Liga III season was the 51st season of Liga III, the third tier of the Romanian football league system. It was the first in this format (six series of 18 teams each). The winners of each division got promoted to the 2007–08 Liga II season. There were also two playoff tournaments held at neutral venues involving the second placed teams, one with those from series 1, 2 and 3, the other with those from series 4, 5, and 6. The winners of the playoffs also got promoted to the 2007–08 Liga II season. The bottom three from each division were relegated at the end of the season to the county football leagues (Liga IV). From the 15th placed teams, another three were relegated. To determine these teams, separate standings were computed, using only the games played against clubs ranked 1st through 14th. 2012–13 Liga III
The 2012–13 Liga III season is the 57th season of the Liga III, the third tier of the Romanian football league system. Day one was played on August 31, 2012 and the last round was played on May 30, 2013. The first team in each series will promote at the end of the season to the Liga II, and the teams that finish 10-16 will relegate to the Liga IV. From the teams that finish 9th, another three are relegated, but separate standings are computed, only results against teams that finished 1-8 are taken into consideration. This season was close to a disaster, only 78 teams registered, although 96 spots were available (6x16), thus 18 spots remained unoccupied. From the 78, 5 withdrew from the championship during the first half, CSO Plopeni, Sevișul Șelimbăr, Oltchim Râmnicu Vâlcea, FCM Huși and FC Cisnădie, thus 73 remained in the tables. 2013–14 Liga III
The 2013–14 Liga III season is the 58th season of the Liga III, the third tier of the Romanian football league system. The season began on 30 August. There is a new system, with six series of 12 teams that will play a regular season, followed by a play-off and play-out for each series. The regular season is a round-robin tournament. At the end of the regular season, the first six teams from each series will play a Promotion play-off and the winners will qualify to Liga II. The last six teams from each series will play a Relegation play-out. The last three teams from each series, at the end of play-out, will relegate to Liga IV. Cupa României
The Cupa României ( en, Romanian Cup) is a Association football, football cup competition for List of football clubs in Romania, Romanian teams which has been held annually since 1933–34 Cupa României, 1933–34, except during World War II. It is the Romania, country's main cup competition, being open to all clubs affiliated with the Romanian Football Federation (FRF) and the county football associations regardless of the league they belong to. Liga IV Bacău
Liga IV Bacău is the regional Liga IV football division for clubs in Bacău County, România, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. It is organized by the County Football Association (Asociația Județeană de Fotbal) and is competed amongst 24 teams divided into 2 series, the winner is promoted to Liga III after a promotion play-off. The number of relegated team from the Liga IV – Bacău is variable and depends on the number of teams relegated from the Liga III.
