CNN NewsStand
''CNN NewsStand'' is a project to create CNN programming associated with publications owned by Time Warner, shortly after CNN owner Turner Broadcasting System had been bought by Time Warner. The second "S" in "NewsStand" was not capitalized consistently even within Time Warner. In its original concept, ''NewsStand'' would feature an in-depth program each weeknight, assuming a report was available, branded as combining CNN with a Time Warner magazine. The CNN Newsstand name has been used since 2008 for airport retail stores run by Hudson Group. CNN & Time The first and best-known NewsStand combination was titled ''CNN & Time'', or sometimes ''NewsStand: CNN & Time''. ''CNN Newsroom'' (also simply known as ''Newsroom'') is an American news programming block that airs on CNN. Broadcasting for 43 hours each week, ''Newsroom'' features live and taped news reports, in addition to analysis from experts on the issues being covered, and headlines throughout each hour. The program tends to focus on softer news than their hard news politics-based primetime lineup. The program is the standard "brand" for general rolling-news programming for the network, originating from their headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. The Vietnam War (also known by #Names, other names) was a conflict in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia from 1 November 1955 to the fall of Saigon on 30 April 1975. It was the second of the Indochina Wars and was officially fought between North Vietnam and South Vietnam. Operation Tailwind
Operation Tailwind was a covert incursion by a small unit of United States Army and allied Montagnard forces into southeastern Laos during the Vietnam War, conducted from 11 to 14 September 1970. Its purpose was to create a diversion for a Royal Lao Army offensive and to exert pressure on the occupation forces of the People's Army of Vietnam (PAVN). A company-sized element of US Army Special Forces and Montagnard commando (Hatchet Force) of the Military Assistance Command, Vietnam Studies and Observations Group (MACV-SOG or SOG) conducted the operation. ''NewsNight with Aaron Brown'' is a live international news program which aired on the CNN and CNN International networks from 2001 to 2005. It aired at 10 PM ET on weeknights and was hosted by Aaron Brown. In its final year, Anderson Cooper co-hosted the show. The show focused on investigative journalism and had a strong emphasis on interviews. It included segments such as The Whip (which quickly previewed segments from four reporters at large), On the Rise, and Segment 7. The Morning Papers segment, known as The Rooster, featured a brief preview of compelling or interesting headlines from the next day's newspapers around the world.
