The National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership (CLAL) is a leadership training institute, think tank, and resource center. It is an inter-disciplinary and inter-denominational movement, in which rabbis from all major Jewish denominations in North America participate. Irwin Kula
Irwin Kula (born November 29, 1957) is an American rabbi and author, currently serving as the president of the National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership (CLAL). In 2008, he was listed as 7th in ''Newsweek''’s “50 most influential rabbis” list, and the following year he was listed as #10. Education Kula is a 7th generation rabbi. Kula received his B.A. in Philosophy from Columbia University, B.H.L. from The Jewish Theological Seminary of America (JTSA), and M.A. in Rabbinics and Rabbinic Ordination from the JTSA. Jewish Identity
Jewish identity is the objective or subjective state of Identity (social science), perceiving oneself as a Jew and as relating to being Jews, Jewish. Irving Greenberg
Irving Yitzchak Greenberg (born May 16, 1933), also known as Yitz Greenberg, is an American scholar, author and rabbi. He is known as a strong supporter of Israel, and a promoter of greater understanding between Judaism and Christianity. Early life and education Greenberg was born and raised in Brooklyn. He attended Novardok Yeshiva#Post World War II, Yeshiva Beis Yosef, where he was semikha, ordained in 1953. At the same time, he attended Brooklyn College, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history, ''summa cum laude.''
