CKY (band)
CKY (abbreviation of the band's original name Camp Kill Yourself) is an American Rock music, rock band from West Chester, Pennsylvania. Formed in 1998 by vocalist and guitarist Deron Miller, guitarist Chad I Ginsburg and drummer Jess Margera, the group currently features Margera and Ginsburg with touring bassist Chris Weyh. CKY found initial recognition through its contributions to the ''CKY (video series), CKY'' video series and ''Jackass (TV series), Jackass'' TV series, both of which featured Margera's brother Bam Margera, Bam. After releasing its debut album ''Volume 1 (CKY album), Volume 1'' in 1999, CKY signed with The Island Def Jam Music Group, Island/Def Jam and issued ''Infiltrate•Destroy•Rebuild'' in 2002, which gave the band its first experience of US chart success. The ''CKY'' video series is a series of videos produced by Bam Margera and Brandon DiCamillo and other residents of West Chester, Pennsylvania. "CKY" stands for "Camp Kill Yourself". The series was part of the basis for what eventually became '' Jackass''. Four videos were released, ''Landspeed presents: CKY'' (later called ''CKY''), ''CKY2K'', ''CKY3'', and ''CKY4: The Latest & Greatest''. There is also a ''CKY'' documentary DVD, which is a supplemental item in the ''CKY Box Set'', as well as two ''CKY Trilogy'' sets, both of which are compilation DVDs featuring scenes from the previous ''CKY'' DVDs. The videos were named after Bam Margera's brother Jess and his band CKY. The Camp Kill Yourself crew (referred to as the CKY crew) was a group of friends and relatives centered around television personality and skateboarder Bam Margera, many of whom are from or located in and around West Chester, Pennsylvania. CKY-FM (102.3 MHz) is a Canadian FM radio station broadcasting in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The station airs a hot adult contemporary format branded as ''KiSS 102.3''. The station is owned by Rogers Sports & Media which also owns sister station CITI-FM. CKY's studios are located in Osborne Village south of Downtown Winnipeg, while its transmitter is located at Duff Roblin Provincial Park near Saint Germain. Owned by Rogers Sports & Media, the station broadcasts a mainstream rock format branded as ''92.1 CITI''. In computer science, the Cocke–Younger–Kasami algorithm (alternatively called CYK, or CKY) is a parsing algorithm for context-free grammars published by Itiroo Sakai in 1961. The algorithm is named after some of its rediscoverers: John Cocke, Daniel Younger, Tadao Kasami, and Jacob T. Schwartz. It employs bottom-up parsing and dynamic programming. The standard version of CYK operates only on context-free grammars given in Chomsky normal form (CNF). However any context-free grammar may be transformed (after convention) to a CNF grammar expressing the same language .
