CJMT-TV
CJMT-DT (channel 40) is a television station in Toronto, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is one of two Flagship (broadcasting), flagship stations of the Canadian multilingual network Omni Television. CJMT-DT is owned-and-operated station, owned and operated by Rogers Sports & Media alongside sister Omni outlet CFMT-DT (channel 47) and Citytv flagship CITY-DT (channel 57). The stations share studios at 33 Dundas Street East on Yonge-Dundas Square in downtown Toronto, while CJMT-DT's transmitter is located atop the CN Tower. History The station signed on the air on September 16, 2002, broadcasting on UHF channel 44. In 2004, CJMT moved its channel allocation to UHF channel 69. CKXT-DT
CKXT-DT was a broadcast television station based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada that broadcast to much of southern and eastern Ontario. It was owned by Quebecor Media through its Groupe TVA unit. Although beginning as a general interest independent station carrying a typical schedule of entertainment and information programming, by the time of the station's closure on November 1, 2011, the station had been converted into an over-the-air simulcast of Quebecor's cable news channel, Sun News Network. The station transmitted on channel 52 in Toronto. CKXT began broadcasting on September 19, 2003, owned and operated by Craig Media as a general-interest independent station branded Toronto 1. 545 Lake Shore Boulevard West is a former media studio complex located along the harbourfront of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, at the intersection of Bathurst Street and Lake Shore Boulevard West. The Art Deco building was designed by Toronto architects Chapman and Oxley, and was completed in 1927 as the Crosse and Blackwell Building for its namesake food products manufacturer. It has been listed as a heritage property by the City of Toronto's Heritage Preservation Services since 1973, and following restoration became the CFMT Building in 1979 to house Toronto multicultural television station CFMT-TV; it was joined by sister station CJMT-TV upon its launch in 2002. Ultra high frequency (UHF) is the ITU designation for radio frequency, radio frequencies in the range between 300 megahertz (MHz) and 3 gigahertz (GHz), also known as the decimetre band as the wavelengths range from one meter to one tenth of a meter (one decimeter). Chicoutimi () is the most populous borough (arrondissement) of the city of Saguenay in Quebec, Canada. It is situated at the confluence of the Saguenay and Chicoutimi rivers. CN Tower
The CN Tower (french: Tour CN) is a concrete communications and observation tower in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Built on the former Railway Lands, it was completed in 1976. Its name "CN" referred to Canadian National, the railway company that built the tower. Following the railway's decision to divest non-core freight railway assets prior to the company's privatization in 1995, it transferred the tower to the Canada Lands Company, a federal Crown corporation responsible for real estate development.
