CIT Sorel-Varennes
The CIT Sorel-Varennes (CITSV), formally the ''Conseil Intermunicipal de Transport Sorel-Varennes'', provides public transportation to the municipalities in the area northeast from Montreal along the right bank of the Saint Lawrence River in Quebec, Canada. The communities served by CITSV stretch downstream along Quebec Highway 132, from Varennes through Saint-Amable, Verchères, Contrecoeur, Saint-Roch-de-Richelieu to Tracy, Saint-Joseph-de-Sorel and Sorel. Sorel-Tracy
Sorel-Tracy (; ) is a city in southwestern Quebec, Canada and the geographical end point of the Champlain Valley. It is located at the confluence of the Richelieu River and the St. Lawrence River, on the western edge of Lac Saint-Pierre, downstream and northeast of Montreal. The population as of the Canada 2011 Census was 34,600. Its mayor is Patrick Péloquin and it is the seat of the Pierre-De Saurel Regional County Municipality and the judicial district of Richelieu. The city is the result of a voluntary amalgamation in 2001 between two cities, Sorel and Tracy, which developed on opposite shores of the Richelieu River: Tracy on the west shore (left) and Sorel on the east (right) shore. In 1992 Sorel had annexed the municipality of Saint-Pierre-de-Sorel; today it forms the southern part of its territory. Sorel was founded in 1642. Bus services are provided throughout the Greater Montreal region of Canada under the Exo brand. History Prior to June 2017, bus service within the greater region of Montréal was provided by a number of different local and regional transit agencies known as ''Conseils Intermunicipal de Transport'' (CIT), or Inter-municipal transit commissions. Terminus De Montarville (AMT)
The Terminus De Montarville was inaugurated November 20, 2007 by the former Agence métropolitaine de transport (AMT) & the city of Boucherville. The bus terminus was built on the corner of Quebec route 132 and Boulevard De Montarville. It includes a 308 car and 35 bicycle capacity parking and seven waiting areas for buses on two bus platforms. It was built to help transfers between Boucherville's RTL bus lines 61, 80 and 85, and CIT Sorel-Varennes bus lines 700, 720, 721 and 722 on April 7, 2008. These buses link to Longueuil terminus and Radisson station. On June 1, 2017, the AMT was dissolved and replaced by two new governing bodies: the Autorité régionale de transport métropolitain (ARTM) and the Réseau de transport métropolitain (RTM). The RTM took over all former AMT services, including the operation of the station. Longueuil station, officially Longueuil–Université-de-Sherbrooke station, is a Montreal Metro station in Longueuil, Quebec, Canada. It is operated by the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) and is the southern terminus of the Line 4 Yellow (Montreal Metro), Yellow Line. It is connected to a campus of Université de Sherbrooke.
