CD Vijaya Adhikari
CD Vijaya Adhikari ( ne, सि.डि. विजय अधिकारी; born 20 August 1991) is a Nepali singer and a music composer. He is the winner of The Voice of Nepal Season One. He also participated in an environmental song titled " Melancholy", sung by 365 Nepali Artists, which set a Guinness World Records in entitled "Most Vocal Solos in a Song Recording". The song was conceptualized, written, composed and directed by Environmentalist Nipesh DHAKA. Personal life CD Vijaya Adhikari was born on 20 August 1991 as a son of Chandra Kanta Adhikari and Durga Devi Adhikari, in Machhapuchchhre-4, Lahachok, near Pokhara. He was married to Manisha Rai who is also a well known artist of the music industry. She is one of the singers among the 365 artists of the Melancholy song too. Lahachok
Lahachowk (Nepali : लाहाचोक ) is a village in Machhapuchchhre Gaunpalika , in the Kaski District, in the Gandaki Zone of northern-central Nepal. According to the 2011 National Population and Housing Census, it had a population of 3,129 in 829 individual households. Lahachowk is not far from Mount Machhapuchchhre, a mountain in the Annapurna Himal. The village is at the altitude of above sea level. It is about north-west of Pokhara. The village is ethnically and culturally diverse. Major ethnic groups in the village are Brahmin (43%), Dalit (28%), Chhetri (including Thakuri) (14%), and indigenous groups such as Gurung, Newar and Magar. "Melancholy" ( Nepali: मिलानकोली) is an environmentally-themed song sung by 365 Nepali artists. This song was intended to promote an environmental message by breaking the Guinness World Records for "Most Vocal Solos in a Song Recording", which it successfully did. It was written, music composed and directed by environmentalist Nipesh Dhaka. The song was recorded as a single on 19 May 2016. The recording sessions were inaugurated by Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Oli at 8 am and continued until 6 pm. The song was released on 2 September 2017 by President Bidya Devi Bhandari at Army Officer's Club, Kathmandu.
