CD Shop Awards
The is an annual set of music awards presented in Japan. It is sponsored by All-Japan CD Shop Clerks Union and awarded based on votes by CD shop clerks from all over Japan. It is referred to as a "music edition of Japan Booksellers' Award". Abstract There is a problem that, there are many high quality Japanese songs are underappreciated and not popular enough. To solve this problem, the CD shop clerks from whole country built this award to recommend music for guests. All Japanese CD shop clerks could vote via internet, mobile phone and fax. In the first round, everybody could recommend three albums, top20 albums could go into second round. And the voter would vote three of them and determine the final results. is a Japanese musician, singer-songwriter, record producer and illustrator who began releasing Vocaloid music under the stage name in 2009. In 2012, he debuted under his real name, releasing music with his own voice. He has sold at least 4.2 million physical copies and more than 7 million digital copies in Japan. Biography Early musical career Kenshi Yonezu was born on March 10, 1991, in the rural part of Tokushima, Japan. As a child, Yonezu found it difficult to communicate with other people, especially his father. Yonezu typically felt that his mother understood him. He was diagnosed with high-functioning autism after the age of 20. Himatsubushi
is the first album by the Japanese girl group Team Syachihoko, released on August 20, 2014 on Warner Music Japan. Release The single was released in 3 versions: "Kiku-ban" ("Listening Edition"), "Miru-ban" ("Watching Edition") and "Odoru-ban" ("Dancing Edition"). The latter two are limited pressings, while the Listening Edition has a limited first press edition with a special lower price ("Limited Himatsuburi Price Listening Edition"). Ringo Sheena
, known by her stage name , is a Japanese singer, songwriter and musician. She is also the founder and lead vocalist of the band Tokyo Jihen. She describes herself as "". She was ranked number 36 in a list of Japan's top 100 musicians compiled by HMV in 2003. Early life Sheena was born with an esophageal atresia in which the esophagus narrows as it approaches the stomach. Treatment of this involved several operations, at least one of which required her right shoulder blade to be cut open. These surgeries left Sheena with large scars on her shoulder blades, said to give the impression that an angel's wings had been removed. Miryoku Ga Sugoi Yo
is the debut studio album by Japanese band Gesu no Kiwami Otome, released on October 28, 2014. Background and development In May 2012, Indigo la End vocalist Enon Kawatani formed a band of musicians who he respected for a separate project from Indigo la End. The group, Gesu no Kiwami Otome, debuted under independent record label Space Shower Records with the extended plays '' Dress no Nugikata'' and '' Odorenai nara, Gesu ni Natte Shimae yo''. Quruli
is a Japanese music group formed in 1996. As of March 2021, the lineup consists of Shigeru Kishida and Masashi Sato. Their music is produced and distributed by Victor Entertainment. Career After meeting at "Rock Commune," Ritsumeikan University's music club, Shigeru Kishida, Masashi Satō, and Nobuyuki Mori formed the original three-piece band. Gesu No Kiwami Otome
is a Japanese band that formed in 2012 by indigo la End front-man Enon Kawatani. Describing themselves as "hip-hop/progressive", the band debuted in 2013 with independent label Space Shower Records, later signed by Warner sub-label Unborde. In 2018, the band left label Unborde and joined TACO RECORDS, founded by Enon Kawatani. Biography The band was formed in May 2012 by Enon Kawatani, out of members of other musical units. Minna Normal
is the third extended play by Japanese band Gesu no Kiwami Otome, released on April 2, 2014. This was their first major label release through Unborde. Background and development Gesu no Kiwami Otome was first formed in May 2012 by Indigo la End vocalist and songwriter Enon Kawatani, out of members of other musical units that Kawatani respected.
