CD Izarra
Club Deportivo Izarra is a Spanish football team based in Estella-Lizarra, in the autonomous community of Navarre. Founded in 1924 it plays in Segunda División RFEF – Group 2, holding home matches at ''Estadio Merkatondoa'', with a capacity of 3,500 seats. History In the 1920s several clubs appeared in the town of Estella; The Sport Club Estellés, C.D. Iberia, Unión Deportiva Estellesa and C.D. La Estrella which they faced together with soldiers of the Military Orders disputing local tournaments. Finally the C.D Izarra appears. The club is founded on January 6, 1924 and joins the other teams in the tournament dispute. In 1943 its first ascent to Tercera Division takes place. After several decades playing between national and regional division. From the season 1983/84 consolidates in Third Division, it obtains a subchampionship in 1984/85 and in 1989/90 is champion of the group and manages to ascend to Segunda Division B. Estadio Merkatondoa
Estadio Merkatondoa, is a stadium in Estella-Lizarra, Navarra, Spain. It has a capacity of 3,500 spectators and opened in 1929. It is the home of CD Izarra of the Segunda División B Segunda División B ( en, Second Division B) was the third tier of the Spanish football league system containing 102 teams divided into five groups, until it was replaced by the new structure in 2021. 1949–50 Tercera División
The 1949–50 Tercera División was the 14th edition of the Spanish third national tier. Format 90 clubs in 5 geographic groups of 18 participated this season. The group winners and runners up (10 clubs) progressed to the Final Phase. These 10 clubs were joined by Las Palmas and Tenerife who were not officially members of the Tercera División. Two groups of 6 were formed with clubs playing home and away (10 matches). The winners and runners up of each group (4 clubs) were promoted to the Segunda División.
