''CD:UK'' (''CountDown:United Kingdom''), stylised as cd:uk, is a defunct music television programme which ran in the United Kingdom from 29 August 1998 until 1 April 2006. Originally run in conjunction with ''SMTV Live'', the programme aired on ITV as a rival to the BBC's ''Live & Kicking'' and was the replacement for ''The Chart Show'', which had been airing on the network for nine and a half years. In contrast to its predecessor, which only showed promo videos, ''CD:UK'' was broadcast live on Saturday mornings with a studio audience and featured live performances, as well as star interviews and competitions. It also featured the ''Saturday Chart'', which although was unofficial, usually reflected the new chart positions a day before the official chart was announced on Radio 1. This made the BBC's long-running ''Top of the Pops'', which aired only the night before, seem very out-of-date broadcasting the previous week's chart. Zenith Productions (later Zenith Entertainment) was a British independent film and television production company. Zenith created content for the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Sky and UKTV, including a number of series such as ''Inspector Morse'' for ITV and ''Byker Grove'' and ''Hamish Macbeth'' for the BBC. ''Total Request Live'' (known commonly as ''TRL'') was an American television program broadcast on MTV that premiered on September 14, 1998. TRL featured popular music videos played during its countdown, and was also used as a promotion tool by musicians, actors, and other celebrity, celebrities to promote their newest works to the show's target Teen culture, teen demographics, demographic. ''Holly & Stephen's Saturday Showdown'' (previously titled ''Ministry of Mayhem'' and ''MoM'') was a British children's entertainment programme, which was broadcast on ITV (later CITV) from 10 January 2004 to 1 July 2006. Overview ''Ministry of Mayhem'' was first broadcast on 10 January 2004 and aired weekly on a Saturday morning on ITV. ''Fame Academy'' was a British television talent competition to search for and educate new musical talents. The winner received a chance to become a successful music artist and part of the international franchise ''Star Academy'' known under various titles in various countries. In the UK version, the prize consisted of a £1m recording contract with a major record company, plus the use of a luxury apartment in London and a sports car for one year. "Dirrty" is a song recorded by American singer-songwriter Christina Aguilera featuring American rapper Redman, released as the lead single from her fourth studio album ''Stripped''. Despite Aguilera's first three years of commercial success, she was displeased with the lack of control over her image. In response, she desired to create a song that would represent her authentic persona. She approached hip hop producer Rockwilder and suggested using Redman's 2001 song "Let's Get Dirty (I Can't Get in da Club)" as a guide. Ribena ( ) is a brand of blackcurrant-based soft drink (both uncarbonated and carbonated), and fruit drink concentrate designed to be mixed with water. It is available in bottles, cans and multi-packs. Tizer
Tizer is a red-coloured, citrus-flavoured soft drink bottled in Cumbernauld and sold in the United Kingdom. The name originally comes from the phrase "Tizer the Appetizer". It was launched in 1924 by Fred and Tom Pickup of Pudsey when it was known as "Pickup's Appetizer", and is the offspring of Vimto and Irn-Bru. After the death of the Pickup brothers it was owned by the Armour Trust before being sold to the Scottish drinks company A.G. Barr plc for £2.5 million in 1972. As is the case with Barr's other famous drink Irn-Bru, Tizer's exact recipe has not been made public, although a list of ingredients and nutritional data is given on the product's packaging.
