C8 (Eastern Europe)
C8 was a general entertainment TV channel broadcasting to people in Hungary. The channel launched on 1 April 2014 in Hungary and 5 May 2014 in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Serbia and Romania, replacing Animax. The channel ceased on 30 December 2015 in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Serbia and Romania. On January 1, 2018, C8 was shut down completely and Minimax fled up the overnight spot making Minimax to run 24 hours for the first time. Animax (formerly A+) was a thematic television channel which broadcast Japanese animated television series and films to Eastern European countries, including Hungary, Romania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia. It replaced the A+ Anime network in these countries on 2 July 2007. This was Animax's first major expansion to Europe. The channel broadcast its programmes either dubbed in the local language of each country, or in Japanese audio with local subtitles. The channel was closed on 31 March 2014 and was replaced by the Chellomedia channel C8. AMC is a European TV channel launched by AMC Networks International. AMC replaced the MGM Channel on 5 November 2014, but in Poland on 6 May 2016. AMC-produced dramas ''Halt & Catch Fire'' and '' The Divide'' are among the first original series that premiered on the channel. The channel also airs films from MGM, Universal Studios, Paramount Pictures, 20th Century Studios and Sony Pictures Entertainment. The channel launched in the United Kingdom on 28 August 2015, in partnership with BT TV and branded AMC from BT. Until 2019, Sky customers in the UK had access to the channel if they subscribed to BT Sport, but was subsequently removed from the platform on 2 October 2019, making the channel exclusive to BT TV subscribers. CBS Justice (formerly CBS Action) was a television channel specialising in action film, drama and murder-mysteries programs. It launched in the UK and Ireland on 16 November 2009 and later expanded to Africa in 2019. It closed on all platforms in the UK on 30 June 2022. CBS Reality is a European television channel broadcast in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Minimax is a European pay television channel aimed at children, headquartered in Hungary, and broadcasting to 11 Central European countries. The channel was also broadcast in Spain from 1994 to 1998 and Poland from 1999 to 2004. Minimax's policy goals include edutainment and non-violent programs.
