Alejandro Zendejas Saavedra (born February 7, 1998) is a professional soccer player who plays as a winger for Liga MX club América. Born in Mexico, he plays for the United States national team. Early life Zendejas was born in Ciudad Juárez in Mexico before moving to El Paso, Texas, in the United States at a young age. The MLS, U.S. Soccer, and FC Dallas websites all listed him as being born in El Paso, Texas. FC Dallas later confirmed that Zendejas had been born in Mexico. Cristian Zendejas (born 1999) is an American football kicker who currently plays college football for Arizona State. Early years Zendejas attended Perry High School, in Gilbert, Arizona, a Phoenix suburb. As a senior, he made 10-of-11 field goals with a long of 47 yards and 67-of-70 extra points. He received 6A first-team All-Region and first-team All-Premier Region honors. College career Zendejas walked-on at Arizona State University. He was redshirted in 2017. As a freshman in 2018, he was one of the backups behind sophomore Brandon Ruiz. He played college football at the University of La Verne. Early years Zendejas, was born in Curimeo, Mexico as part of nine children. His parents moved the family to Chino, California. He attended Don Antonio Lugo High School, where he played as a forward in soccer. Zendejas accepted a soccer scholarship from Division III University of La Verne. Martin Zendejas (November 2, 1964 – December 19, 2018) was a Mexican placekicker in the Arena Football League (AFL) for the Los Angeles Cobras. He played college football at the University of Nevada.
