The Young Conservatives ( cs, Mladí konzervativci, MK CZ) is a Right-wing politics, right-wing political youth organisation in the Czech Republic. It is the youth wing of the Civic Democratic Party (Czech Republic), Civic Democratic Party (ODS), a centre-right political party, and shares that party's conservatism, conservative and Economic liberalism, economically liberal ideology. Young people within the age from 15 to 35 apply for a membership in the MK. Several significant politicians from the ODS party started as members of Young Conservatives, including Jan Zahradil, Jiří Pospíšil, Petr Sokol, Martin Baxa, Petr Gandalovič, Ivan Langer, Martin Novotný, and Pavel Drobil. Young Conservatives Denmark ( da, Konservativ Ungdom, abbreviated KU) is the youth wing of the Conservative People's Party of Denmark. History Founded by Carl F. Herman von Rosen on December 8, 1904, more than a decade before its mother party, KU is the oldest youth political organisation in Denmark and the oldest remaining youth political organisation in the world. Following its formation, KU grew quickly as an organisation and many local branches throughout Denmark sprung up. Young Conservatives of Texas (YCT) is a conservative youth organization based in Texas. Founded in 1980, it has chapters at 20 universities—including Baylor University, the University of North Texas, Texas A&M University, Texas State University, the University of Texas at Austin, Trinity University, University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, Texas Wesleyan University, St. Edwards University, and Texas Tech University. History Young Conservatives of Texas was formed by a faction that split off from Young Americans for Freedom (YAF) in 1980. A total of 177 delegates attended the first convention.
