Vålerenga Fotball () is a Norwegian association football club from Oslo and a part of the multi-sport club Vålerengens IF. Founded in 1913, the club is named after the neighbourhood of Vålerenga. Vålerenga's home ground is Intility Arena, located in Valle-Hovin. Vålerenga are five-time league champions and four-time Norwegian Football Cup champions, having last won the league in 2005 Tippeligaen, 2005 and the cup in 2008 Norwegian Football Cup, 2008. History Early days (1913–45) The history of Vålerenga Fotball goes back to ''Fotballpartiet Spark'', which was founded in 1898 by pastor Hans Møller Gasmann. An early mission for Gasmann was to give the local youth social activity and exercise. On a larger scale, the club was part of the movement known as Muscular Christianity. Hallvard Vebjørnsson
Hallvard Vebjørnsson (''Hallvard Den Hellige'') ( 1020–1043), commonly referred to as Saint Hallvard (''Sankt Hallvard''), is the patron saint of Oslo. He is considered a martyr because of his defence of an innocent thrall woman. His religious feast day is 15 May. The connection of St. Hallvard to the city of Oslo was evidenced by the fact that his image was recorded in the city's seal since the Middle Ages. The municipality's highest honor, the St. Hallvard Medal (''St. Hallvard-medaljen''), was named after him in 1950. Mercantile Ski- og Fotballklubb is a Norwegian football club from Oslo, Norway. Founded on 3 June 1903, the club currently plays in 7. divisjon, the eighth tier of the Norwegian football league system. The club formerly had sections for bandy, handball, ice hockey and skiing. Jørn Andersen (born 3 February 1963), sometimes written as Jörn, is a Norwegian-German Association football, football manager and former player. He is the head coach of the Hong Kong national football team, Hong Kong national team. Vidar Davidsen
Vidar Davidsen (born 4 January 1958) is a Norwegian football coach and former player. Davidsen played 46 international matches for Norway and scored 5 goals. One of those goals came in Norway's famous 2-1 win against Italy at Stadio Via del Mare in Lecce in September 1985. He currently works as a football commentator in TV3. Tom Jacobsen
Tom Jacobsen (born 17 March 1954) is a Norwegian football coach and former player. He played as a midfielder for HamKam and Vålerenga and was capped 16 times playing for Norway. He is the brother of Pål Jacobsen. Player career Jacobsen played for HamKam from 1971 to 1978 and for Vålerenga from 1979 to 1982, before he returned to HamKam where he played until he retired. Odd Iversen
Odd "Ivers" Iversen (6 November 1945 – 29 December 2014) was a Norwegian footballer who played as a striker; he is notable for his former record of 158 goals in Norwegian top tier football, as well as his still-standing record of 30 goals in a single season. Career Iversen began his career in Rosenborg in 1964, and would spend twelve of his eighteen years as a top tier footballer in the club.
