Nagoya Airfield
, also known as Komaki Airport or Nagoya Airport, is an airport which lies within the local government areas of Toyoyama, Komaki, Kasugai and Nagoya in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. It was once an international airport, but is now a domestic secondary airport serving Nagoya while the current primary civil airport for Nagoya is Chūbu Centrair International Airport in Tokoname. It is the main hub for FDA (Fuji Dream Airlines), the only airline that offers scheduled air service from the airfield. It is also used for general aviation and as an airbase. is an urban expressway in Nagoya and Komaki, Aichi, Japan. It is a part of the Nagoya Expressway network and is owned and operated by Nagoya Expressway Public Corporation. Overview The route is a northward extension of Route 1 which terminates at its junction with the Higashi-Meihan Expressway. Route 11 continues as an elevated expressway above the median of National Route 41. The total area is 6.18 km2. Currently the district has the town of Toyoyama. Description About During the old days, the district extended as far as Nagoya Castle, but since Taisho Era to the 1950s, most of the areas were merged into the city of Nagoya. Recently, there were proposals to turn the entire district into a city but the merger was killed due to differences of opinion. After the merger was killed, the towns of Kiyosu, Shinkawa and Nishibiwajima merged in 2005 (City of Kiyosu). Again in 2006, the towns of Nishiharu and Shikatsu merged into (City of Kitanagoya). And most recently in 2009, the town of Haruhi merged into Kiyosu.
