Thai Honda Football Club (Thai: สโมสรฟุตบอลไทยฮอนด้า) was a Thai football club playing in the Thai League 2 and sponsored by Honda. The club was dissolved at the end of the 2019 season. History Honda Motorcycle Thailand, or A.P. Honda, started to send teams in the Samutprakarn Cup for the first time in 1971, by having factory employees play. In 2000, they established a football club "Thai Honda Ladkrabang Football Club". The club was promoted to Thai League 1. Some notable players for Thai Honda Ladkrabang were Prasert Choei-taisong, Tripob Chuenchuklin, and Thongchai Kuenkuntod. They were led by head coach Chalermwoot Sa-ngapol. 72nd Anniversary Min Buri Stadium or Chalerm Phrakiat Min Buri Stadium ( th, สนามกีฬาเฉลิมพระเกียรติ 72 พรรษา มีนบุรี) is a multi-purpose stadium in Min Buri, Bangkok, Thailand. The stadium built for celebration of the 72nd Birthday Anniversary of King Bhumibol Adulyadej, hence the name of the venue. It is used mostly for football matches and was the home stadium of Thai Honda. The stadium holds 10,000 people and consists of two large single-tier stands on each side of the pitch. Thai Division 1 League
Thai League 2 ( th, ไทยลีก 2), commonly known as the T2, formally called Thai Division 1 League, is the second-tier professional league in the Thai football league system. The top 3 are promoted to Thai League 1 at the end of the season, whilst four are relegated to Thai League 3. For the 2008 season, the Football Association of Thailand (FAT) reduced the number of teams in the league to 16 teams. Previously there had been two groups of 12 clubs. For the 2011 season the number of teams was increased to 18 teams, The Thai Division 1 League is a season run from March to October, with teams playing 34 games each totalling 306 games in the season. In 2016, the Khǒr Royal Cup became a trophy for Thai Division 1 League. In 2017 the Football Association of Thailand changed the name to Thai League 2. 2015 Thai League Cup
The Thai League Cup is a knock-out football tournament played in Thai sport. Some games are played as a single match, others are played as two-legged contests. The 2015 Thai League Cup kicked off on 31 January 2015 . The Thai League Cup has been readmitted back into Thai football after a 10-year absence. The Thai League Cup is sponsored by Toyota thus naming it Toyota League Cup. The prize money for this prestigious award is said to be around 5 million baht and the runners-up would net 1 million baht. The prize money is not the only benefit of this cup, the team winning the fair play spot will get a Hilux Vigo. The MVP of the competition will get a Toyota Camry Hybrid Car. 2011 Thai League Division 1 is the 14th season of the League since its establishment in 1997. It is the feeder league for the Thai Premier League. A total of 18 teams will compete in the league. League expansion It was announced at the end of the 2010 season that the TPL would increase the number of teams for the start of the 2011 Thai Premier League season. Therefore, playoff games were arranged to promote more teams for the Regional League Division 2 and relegate less teams from the TPL. During these games, Nakhon Pathom were banned and therefore will fail to take their place in Division 1 for the next two seasons. This did mean that the league would only feature 17 teams for the season, but with less than 3 weeks before the start of the league campaign another round of playoffs was used to promote one more side, Saraburi. 2010 Thai League Division 1 is the 13th season of the League since its establishment in 1997. It is the feeder league for the Thai Premier League. A total of 16 teams will compete in the league. League Expansion It was announced at the end of the season that the TPL would increase the number of teams for the start of the 2011 Thai Premier League season. Therefore, at the end of season the three teams in the Thai Premier League that finished the season in the bottom three places (14th, 15th and 16th) would face the fourth, fifth and sixth teams from Division One in a promotion/relegation series. The six teams will be divided into two groups of three. They will meet each other in their group on a home-and-away basis with the winner of each group earning spots in the top flight next season.
