2010 Thai Division 1 League
2010 Thai League Division 1 is the 13th season of the League since its establishment in 1997. It is the feeder league for the Thai Premier League. A total of 16 teams will compete in the league. League Expansion It was announced at the end of the season that the TPL would increase the number of teams for the start of the 2011 Thai Premier League season. Therefore, at the end of season the three teams in the Thai Premier League that finished the season in the bottom three places (14th, 15th and 16th) would face the fourth, fifth and sixth teams from Division One in a promotion/relegation series. The six teams will be divided into two groups of three. They will meet each other in their group on a home-and-away basis with the winner of each group earning spots in the top flight next season. Thai Division 1 League
Thai League 2 ( th, ไทยลีก 2), commonly known as the T2, formally called Thai Division 1 League, is the second-tier professional league in the Thai football league system. The top 3 are promoted to Thai League 1 at the end of the season, whilst four are relegated to Thai League 3. For the 2008 season, the Football Association of Thailand (FAT) reduced the number of teams in the league to 16 teams. Previously there had been two groups of 12 clubs. For the 2011 season the number of teams was increased to 18 teams, The Thai Division 1 League is a season run from March to October, with teams playing 34 games each totalling 306 games in the season. In 2016, the Khǒr Royal Cup became a trophy for Thai Division 1 League. In 2017 the Football Association of Thailand changed the name to Thai League 2. 2011 Thai Division 1 League
2011 Thai League Division 1 is the 14th season of the League since its establishment in 1997. It is the feeder league for the Thai Premier League. A total of 18 teams will compete in the league. League expansion It was announced at the end of the 2010 season that the TPL would increase the number of teams for the start of the 2011 Thai Premier League season. Therefore, playoff games were arranged to promote more teams for the Regional League Division 2 and relegate less teams from the TPL. During these games, Nakhon Pathom were banned and therefore will fail to take their place in Division 1 for the next two seasons. This did mean that the league would only feature 17 teams for the season, but with less than 3 weeks before the start of the league campaign another round of playoffs was used to promote one more side, Saraburi. BBCU Football Club, known fully as Big Bang Chula United Football Club ( th, สโมสรฟุตบอล บีบีซียู), is a defunct Thai professional football club based in Bangkok, Thailand, owned by Montri Suwannoi. Founded as "Bangtoey Football Team" in 1976, the club changed its name many times, until finally, it became "BBCU" in 2011. Regional League Division 2
Thai League 4 ( th, ไทยลีก 4), commonly known as the T4, was the fourth level association football league in Thailand. In 2009, it was divided into five groups by geographic region. Each group contained 16 clubs except for the Southern Region group which contained 13 clubs. It was sponsored by AIS and therefore officially known as the AIS Regional League Division 2. In 2016, Khor Royal Cup became a trophy for Regional League Division 2. In 2017, Football Association of Thailand rebranded the league to Thai League 4.
