Army And Navy Academy
Army and Navy Academy is an elite private college-preparatory military boarding school for boys in Carlsbad, California. Founded in 1910, the academy admits boys in grades 7 through 12. History The Academy was founded by Colonel Thomas A. Davis as the San Diego Army and Navy Academy on November 23, 1910. It was originally located in the Pacific Beach neighborhood of San Diego, California. In 1936, the academy moved to Carlsbad, California and opened as the Davis Military Academy, but a year later was again renamed the San Diego Army and Navy Academy. In 1944, "San Diego" was dropped from the name. Army and Navy Academy was notably led by William Currier Atkinson, who served as the academy's president for fifty years. USL League Two (USL2), formerly the Premier Development League (PDL), is a semi-professional soccer league sponsored by United Soccer Leagues in the United States, forming part of the United States soccer league system. The league will feature 144 teams for the 2025 season, split into nineteen regional divisions across four conferences. USL League Two is headquartered in Tampa, Florida. The Seacoast United Phantoms are the current champions, having defeated Peoria City 3–2 in extra time to win the 2024 USL League Two Championship final on August 3, 2024. Carlsbad is a beach city in the North County area of San Diego County, California, United States. The city is north of downtown San Diego and south of downtown Los Angeles. Del Norte High School is a public high school in San Diego, California. It primarily serves the communities of 4S Ranch and Del Sur. It is part of Poway Unified School District. History Del Norte opened on August 19, 2009, and is the most recent comprehensive high school to be opened in Poway Unified School District. The campus covers of land. During its first year, Del Norte was expected to have approximately 700 students in order to create a personalized learning experience. Also notable was the absence of juniors and seniors, as the first year only contained freshmen and sophomores. The expected student population after the first few years was approximately 2,250 students. 2017 PDL Season
The 2017 USL Premier Development League season is the 23rd season of the PDL. The league consisted of 72 teams playing in 10 divisions. The Michigan Bucks entered the season as the defending champions, but their title defense campaign ended with a loss in the Central Conference semi-finals. On August 5, 2017, the Charlotte Eagles won their first PDL championship by defeating the Thunder Bay Chill 2-1. Ryan Michael Guy (born September 5, 1985) is a Association football, soccer coach and former professional football player. He was Cap (sport), capped 33 times and scored four goals for the Guam national football team, Guam national team. Early career High School and Club Guy attended La Costa Canyon High School where he was named MVP for its soccer team twice. Here he also competed in their respective Track and field, Track team where he also received MVP Honors. During his senior year, he reached the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Final. During this time Guy also played with San Diego Surf SC, where he also reached the State Sup Final. He also played for the youth side La Jolla Nomads.
