Real Club Deportivo Mallorca is a professional football club based in Palma on the island of Mallorca, Spain, which plays in the top tier of Spanish football, La Liga. Héctor Cúper is the most successful manager in terms of achievements. Winning the 1998 Supercopa de España after finishing Runner-up in the 1997–98 Copa del Rey to Barcelona and taking the team to the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup final a year later, which they lost to Lazio. Cristóbal Martí Batalla (born 22 May 1903 – 28 July 1986) was a Spanish association football, football player and manager. Career Born in Granollers, Catalonia, Martí began playing football with CE Sabadell FC before joining FC Barcelona. He made more than 250 official appearances for Barcelona, winning La Liga during the 1928–29 season. After the 1932–33 season, Martí joined RCD Espanyol where he played until the outbreak of the Spanish civil war. International career Martí made three appearances for the Spain national football team during 1930 and 1931. The Supercopa de España or the ''Spanish Super Cup'' is a super cup tournament in Spanish football. Founded in 1982 as a two-team competition, the current version has been contested since 2019–20 by four teams: the winners and runners-up of the Copa del Rey and La Liga. Real Madrid are the most recent winners. History The current competition has existed since 1982. Between 1940 and 1953, several other tournaments between the Spanish league champions and the cup winners (then ''Copa del Generalísimo'') were played. José Héctor Rial Laguía (14 October 1928 – 24 February 1991) was a footballer who played as a forward for Real Madrid between 1954 and 1961, and was part of the team that won five consecutive European Cups. He played professional football in Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay, Spain, France and Chile. He was born and raised in Argentina, but represented the Spain national team on five occasions. Rial started playing professional football in 1947 with San Lorenzo de Almagro in the Primera Division Argentina. In July 1949, he moved to Colombia to play for Independiente Santa Fe. After two seasons with the club, he moved to Uruguay to join Nacional where he was part of the championship-winning side of 1952. Juan Carlos "Toto" Lorenzo (; 27 October 1922 – 14 November 2001) was an Argentine football player and coach. He became an icon for Boca Juniors fans after he coached the club to its first two Copa Libertadores titles. Biography In his teens, Lorenzo played for Chacarita Juniors, and made his professional debut in 1940. He was transferred to Boca Juniors in 1945, and after two years he joined Italian side Sampdoria team, where he remained until 1952. His next clubs would be now-defunct French F.C. Nancy, and Atlético Madrid, Rayo Vallecano, and RCD Mallorca, where in 1958 he was coach and player. Then, he quit play but remained as coach. Lorenzo would be the coach that helped Mallorca to promote to Primera División for the first time in 1960.
