Honduras
Honduras, officially the Republic of Honduras, is a country in Central America. The republic of Honduras is bordered to the west by Guatemala, to the southwest by El Salvador, to the southeast by Nicaragua, to the south by the Pacific Ocean at the Gulf of Fonseca, and to the north by the Gulf of Honduras, a large inlet of the Caribbean Sea. Its capital and largest city is Tegucigalpa. Honduras was home to several important Mesoamerican cultures, most notably the Maya, before the Spanish Colonization in the sixteenth century. The Spanish introduced Catholicism and the now predominant Spanish language, along with numerous customs that have blended with the indigenous culture. Socialist Party Of Honduras
The Socialist Party of Honduras ( es, Partido Socialista, abbreviated PASO) was a small left-wing political party in Honduras. PASO was founded in November 1978. Most of its founders hailed from the Movement for Socialism (MAS) tendency, expelled from the Christian Democratic Party of Honduras (PDCH). Some of its founders had been members of the Communist Party of Honduras (PCH) or the Marxist–Leninist Communist Party of Honduras (PCMLH). The formation of the new party was publicly announced in December 1978. PASO sought to establish a popular-democratic state. The Revolutionary Nationalist Movement (''Movimiento Nacional Revolucionario'', MNR) was a Honduran political party. The Innovation and Unity Party—Social Democracy ( es, Partido Innovación y Unidad Social Demócrata, PINU-SD) is a social democratic political party in Honduras, established in 1970.
