The Old Dominion Monarchs are composed of 18 intercollegiate athletic teams representing Old Dominion University, located in Norfolk, Virginia. Men's sports include baseball, basketball, football, golf, sailing, soccer, swimming, and tennis. Women's sports include basketball, field hockey, lacrosse, golf, sailing, soccer, swimming, tennis, rowing, and volleyball. The Monarchs compete in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) and are members of the Sun Belt Conference (SBC); the university joined the conference on July 1, 2022. Old Dominion is an American country music band formed in Nashville, Tennessee. The band consists of Matthew Ramsey (lead vocals), Trevor Rosen (guitar, keyboards), Whit Sellers (drums), Geoff Sprung (bass guitar), and Brad Tursi (guitar). ''Old Dominion'' is the third studio album by the American country music band of the same name. It was released on October 25, 2019 via RCA Records Nashville. Content The band announced the album's release in July 2019. At the time, the album had produced two singles: " Make It Sweet" and "One Man Band", the latter of which the band debuted on ''Good Morning America'' following the release announcement. The band promoted the album throughout 2019 on the Make It Sweet Tour. On August 7, 2020, the band released a "meow mix" of the album, featuring all of the vocals replaced with the word "meow". Hotel of the Laughing Tree is an indie rock band that was formed in 2009 on Long Island. The band presently consists of AJ Estrada, Brandon Peterson and Jonathon Streker, and now reside in their respective states of New York, Tennessee and Massachusetts, working digitally to create new records. Biography After the dissolution of the progressive rock band Rendezvous with the Kidnappers, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter AJ Estrada began to put together a new project with a distinctive Indie/Pop sound. Old Dominion Athletic Conference
The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) is an NCAA Division III athletic conference. Of its 15 member schools, all but one are located in Virginia; the other full member is in North Carolina. The conference also has an associate member in North Carolina. History The conference was founded in May 1975 as the Virginia College Conference. On January 1, 1976, the name was changed to the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. The 1976–77 season was the first in which championships were offered. In 1982–83, women's sports were added. In 1981, Catholic University joined the conference after leaving Division I's Colonial Athletic Association. In 1988, Virginia Wesleyan was added as a member, and, in 1990, Guilford became the first member located outside D.C. and Virginia. Maryville College was an all-sports member in the 1980s.
