''Night of the Demons'' is an American comedy-horror franchise consisting of four films. The original film, '' Night of the Demons'', was released in 1988. Written and produced by Joe Augustyn, and directed by Kevin S. Tenney, the sequels have had various writers and directors attached to them, with the character of Angela Franklin remaining the only constant in all of the films in the franchise. Tenney, who directed the first sequel, also wrote the third film in the franchise and co-produced the remake. Joe Augustyn
Joe Augustyn (born ) is an American screenwriter, film producer, and author. Early life Born in Philadelphia, Augustyn was the son of a factory worker and a hairdresser. Raised in the Port Richmond neighborhood of Philadelphia, Augustyn attended St. Adalbert's parochial grade school before attending the public magnet school Central High School. He was briefly married to writer-editor Victoria Brownworth. He pursued painting and cartooning before attending Temple University where he studied film theory and production. As a college freshman he won a ''FOCUS Award'' in the film studies category for a paper analyzing the symbolism in Francis Ford Coppola's '' Apocalypse Now''. The only undergrad among eleven winners, he was flown to Los Angeles for the ceremonies, and subsequently moved to Los Angeles to attend the AFI Conservatory for Advanced Film Studies as a producing-fellow. Michael Arata
Michael Arata (born February 23, 1966) is an American actor and film producer. He began his acting career at age four and has since appeared on stage, in feature films and television programs. Arata was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. As an actor, he has worked with Academy Award winners Oliver Stone, Gene Hackman, Kevin Costner, Jamie Foxx, Tatum O'Neil, Kim Hunter, Billy Bob Thornton, Denzel Washington, Ellen Burstyn and Sissy Spacek, and has appeared on stage with Sir Kenneth Branagh, Ben Kingsley, and Rosemary Harris, as well as Alec Baldwin and Elizabeth Ashley in Tennessee Williams's classic The Night of the Iguana. The Blu-ray Disc (BD), often known simply as Blu-ray, is a Digital media, digital optical disc data storage format. It was invented and developed in 2005 and released on June 20, 2006 worldwide. It is designed to supersede the DVD format, and capable of storing several hours of high-definition video (HDTV 720p and 1080p). FrightFest, also known as Arrow Video FrightFest is an annual film festival held in London and Glasgow. The festival holds three major events each year: a festival running five days over the UK late August Bank Holiday weekend, a Halloween event held in London in late October, and a festival in Glasgow held around February as part of the Glasgow Film Festival. Barbara Linnea Quigley (born May 27, 1958) is an American actress, film producer, model, singer, and author. She is best known as a B-movie actress, and is often referred to as a " scream queen" due to her frequent appearances in low-budget horror films during the 1980s and 1990s.
