The New Zealand women's national football team, nicknamed the Football Ferns, is governed by New Zealand Football (NZF). The 2007 OFC Women's Championship of women's association football took place in Lae, Papua New Guinea between 9 April and 13 April. It was the eighth edition of the tournament. Dignity Health Sports Park is a multi-use sports complex located on the campus of California State University, Dominguez Hills in Carson, California. The complex consists of the 27,000-seat Dignity Health Sports Park soccer stadium, the Dignity Health Sports Park tennis stadium, a track-and-field facility, and the VELO Sports Center velodrome. Dagný Brynjarsdóttir (born 10 August 1991) is an Icelandic professional footballer who plays for West Ham United in the FA Women's Super League and the Iceland national team. She previously played for Bayern Munich, Selfoss, and collegiate soccer for the Florida State Seminoles. The association football tournament at the 2012 Summer Olympics was held from 25 July to 11 August, and was the only sport to begin before the official opening day of the Olympic Games, two days before the opening ceremony. It was also the only sport to be held at multiple venues outside London (the host city of the Olympics), with Manchester, Glasgow, Newcastle, Coventry and Cardiff all hosting matches. The finals were played at Wembley Stadium.
