Nervo (stylised as NERVO) are an Australian DJ duo comprising twin sisters Olivia and Miriam Nervo (born 18 February 1982). After signing with Sony/ATV Music Publishing at 18 years of age, the sisters pursued careers as songwriting partners and in 2008 they signed with Fredrik Olsson and his Swedish music publishing company Razor Boy Music Publishing, which led to co-writing the Grammy Award-winning single, "When Love Takes Over", performed by David Guetta and Kelly Rowland. Early life The Nervo twins were born in Ivanhoe, Melbourne on the night of 18 February 1982. Amado Nervo
Amado Nervo (August 27, 1870 – May 24, 1919) also known as Juan Crisóstomo Ruiz de Nervo, was a Mexican poet, journalist and educator. He also acted as Mexican Ambassador to Argentina and Uruguay. His poetry was known for its use of metaphor and reference to mysticism, presenting both love and religion, as well as Christianity and Hinduism. Nervo is noted as one of the most important Mexican poets of the 19th century. Early life Amado Nervo was born in Tepic, Nayarit in 1870. His father died when Nervo was 5 years old. Two more deaths were to mark his life: the suicide of his brother Luis, who was also a poet, and the death of his wife Ana Cecilia Luisa Dailliez, just 10 years after marriage. His early studies were at the Colegio San Luis Gonzaga, located in Jacona, Michoacán. After graduation, he began studying at the Roman Catholic Seminary in nearby Zamora. Carlo Nervo
Carlo Nervo (; born 29 October 1971) is an Italian former professional footballer who usually played as a wide midfielder on the right flank. Following his retirement, he began a career in politics. Club career Originally from Solagna, Nervo began his career with the G.S.R. Solagna Youth System, before moving to Bassano Virtus, where he made his professional debut in 1988 after developing further in the club's Youth System. After brief periods with Monza and Cittadella, he moved to Mantova in 1992, spending two seasons with the club, helping the club to the Serie C2 title in his first season, and earning promotion to Serie C1. Hugo Martín Nervo (born January 6, 1991) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a defender for Liga MX club Atlas. Jacques De Nervo
Jacques de Nervo (31 August 1897 – 27 June 1990) was a French industrialist. He was born into a family of railway pioneers and steelmakers. After World War I (1914–18) he joined one of the family companies as a factory worker, and quickly became an executive. He was involved in various major steel enterprises before, during and after World War II (1939–45). He was responsible for the creation of Usinor, which became the largest French steel making group. Family and early years Jacques de Nervo was born on 31 August 1897, son of Baron Léon de Nervo and Germaine Davillier (1875–1949). He was the great grandson of Léon Talabot, one of the founders of the French railway industry. His grandfather, Baron Robert de Nervo, married Talabot's daughter and was the first of the Nervo family to enter business. Luis Padilla Nervo (19 August 1894 – 9 September 1985) was a Mexican politician and diplomat. He was the first Mexican Ambassador at the United Nations, Minister of Foreign Affairs and President of the Sixth Session of United Nations General Assembly. Career He studied law at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. He also did postgraduate work at American, French, and British universities. Luis Padilla Nervo represented Mexico during the San Francisco Conference in 1945 and signed the United Nations Charter. Baron Robert de Nervo (3 September 1842 – 24 August 1909) was a French industrialist involved in mining, steelmaking and railways. Early years Robert de Nervo was born on 3 September 1842 in Paris, France. His parents were Gonsalve Jean Baptiste Rosario, baron de Nervo (1804–97), and Adélaïde Marie Suzanne Brugière de Barante (1813–86). Nervo is a crater on Mercury. It has a diameter of 63 kilometers. Its name was adopted by the International Astronomical Union in 1979. Nervo is named for the Mexican poet Amado Nervo, who lived from 1870 to 1919. Hollows are present on and near the central peak of Nervo. Schmidt Hills () is a group of rock hills, long, lying north of Childs Glacier and west of Roderick Valley in the Neptune Range of the Pensacola Mountains, Antarctica. Mapping and name The Schmidt Hills were mapped by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and United States Navy air photos and 1956–1966. They were named by the United States Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Dwight L. Schmidt, USGS geologist to the Pensacola Mountains in 1962–63, 1963–64 and 1965–66.
