Nogometni Klub Junak Sinj (''Football Club Junak Sinj''), commonly referred to as Junak Sinj or just Junak, is a prodessional Croatian football club based in the town of Sinj, in the southern Croatian region of Dalmatia. They currently compete in the Croatian Third Football League. Junak play their home matches at the 3,096-seated Gradski stadion Sinj ( en, Sinj City Stadium). History NK Junak Sinj was founded on 18 July 1916. For a brief period between 1922 and 1924 the club was called Velebit. The club was established by university students from Sinj who had been introduced to football in cities such as Split and Zagreb and who decided to form a club in their hometown. Croatian Third Football League
The Treća nogometna liga ( eng, Third football league), commonly Treća NL or 3. NL) is the fourth tier of the Croatian football league system, football league system. The league was reestablished in 2022 following the reconstruction of league system in Croatia. It is operated by the Croatian Football Federation. Sinj
Sinj (; it, Signo; german: Zein) is a town in the continental part of Split-Dalmatia County, Croatia. The town itself has a population of 11,478 and the population of the administrative municipality, which includes surrounding villages, is 24,826 (2011). Geography Sinj is located in the heart of the Dalmatian hinterland, the area known as ''Cetinska krajina'', a group of settlements situated on a fertile karstic field of Sinjsko polje through which the river Cetina passes. A hajduk ( hu, hajdúk, plural of ) is a type of irregular infantry found in Central and parts of Southeast Europe from the late 16th to mid 19th centuries. They have reputations ranging from bandits to freedom fighters depending on time, place, and their enemies. HNK Hajduk Split
Hrvatski nogometni klub Hajduk Split, commonly referred to as Hajduk Split () or simply Hajduk, is a Croatian professional football club based in Split, that competes in the Croatian First League, the top tier in Croatian football. Since 1979, the club's home ground has been the 34,198-seater Stadion Poljud. The team's traditional home colours are white shirts with blue shorts and blue socks. The idea to form a football club was started by group of Split students who were studying in Prague. Ivan Mastelić
Ivan Mastelić (born 2 January 1996) is a Croatian football forward, currently playing for NK Junak Sinj. Club career Born in Germany, Mastelić moved back at the age of 2 with his mother to the family's native Brnaze, near Sinj, in Croatia, and he started training football there, at the lower-tier Tekstilac Sinj. A versatile player, starting out as a midfielder, but playing at center-back, winger and a forward, he moved, at the age of 12 and at the behest of coach Slaven Lakić, to the second-tier Junak Sinj. He became a first-team regular, now more firmly a forward or a winger, at the age of 16, amassing 20 caps, with a single goal. Robert Jandrek
Robert Jandrek (; born 30 August 1995) is a Croatian footballer who plays as a right winger for Posušje. Club career Born in Sinj, Croatia, Jandrek started his hometown club NK Junak Sinj at the age of 7, before moving on to NK Omladinac Vranjic, before spending two seasons at the regional powerhouse HNK Hajduk Split's academy. Though a right winger, he played at his own initiative at right-back in a generation with the likes of Mario Pašalić, Tonći Mujan and others. Not breaking through, Jandrek returned to the Sinj region, first to NK Glavice, and then back to Junak. Jandrek spent his last U19 season at NK Lokomotiva in Zagreb, where he was moved from the wing to the center of the pitch, but returned to NK Junak Sinj and his old playing position in the summer of 2014.
