Miami Beach Bowl
The Miami Beach Bowl was a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) sanctioned Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) college football bowl game played for three years (2014–2016) at Marlins Park in Miami, Florida. The bowl was created and owned by the American Athletic Conference ("The American"). On April 21, 2017, it was announced that the Miami Beach Bowl had been sold to ESPN, would relocate to Frisco, Texas, and would be played at Toyota Stadium for the 2017 season. The new bowl game is named the Frisco Bowl. Frisco Bowl
The Frisco Bowl is an annual National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) sanctioned post-season Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) college football bowl game played in Frisco, Texas, since December 2017. The bowl has a tie-in with the American Athletic Conference, and chooses another team at-large. DXL was the bowl's inaugural sponsor from 2017 to 2018, followed by Tropical Smoothie Cafe from 2019 to 2021. 2014 BYU Cougars Football Team
The 2014 BYU Cougars football team represented Brigham Young University in the 2014 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Cougars, led by tenth head coach Bronco Mendenhall, played their home games at LaVell Edwards Stadium. This was the fourth year BYU competed as an independent. They finished the season 8–5. They were invited to the inaugural Miami Beach Bowl where they lost to Memphis. The Central Michigan Chippewas are a college football program in Division I FBS, representing Central Michigan University (CMU). CMU has the 30th highest overall winning percentage of programs playing in NCAA Division I. The BYU Cougars football team is the college football program representing Brigham Young University (BYU) in Provo, Utah. The Cougars began collegiate football competition in 1922, and have won 23 conference championships and one national championship in 1984. Stephen Dane Evans (born November 19, 1993) is an American professional Canadian football quarterback for the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football at Tulsa. Brandon Doughty (born October 6, 1991) is a former American football quarterback. He played college football at Western Kentucky and was their starting quarterback from 2013 to 2015. Early years Doughty attended North Broward Preparatory School in Coconut Creek, Florida.
