2016 Miami Beach Bowl
The 2016 Miami Beach Bowl was a post-season American college football bowl game played on December 19, 2016 at Marlins Park in Miami, Florida. The third annual edition of the Miami Beach Bowl was one of the 2016–17 bowl games concluding the 2016 FBS football season. Team selection The game featured the Central Michigan Chippewas against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. This was the third meeting between the schools, with the all-time series tied 1–1. The most recent meeting was on October 17, 1987, where the Chippewas defeated the Golden Hurricane by a score of 51–21. Marlins Park
LoanDepot Park is a retractable roof stadium located in Miami, Florida. It is the home of Major League Baseball's Miami Marlins. It is located on on the site of the former Miami Orange Bowl in Little Havana about west of Downtown Miami. Construction was completed in March 2012 for the 2012 season. LoanDepot Park was LEED certified as the greenest MLB park in 2012. The building is the sixth MLB stadium to have a retractable roof. With a seating capacity of 37,442, it is the third-smallest stadium in Major League Baseball by official capacity, and the smallest by actual capacity. 2016 NCAA Division I FBS Football Season
The 2016 NCAA Division I FBS football season was the highest level of college football competition in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The regular season began on August 26, 2016 and ended on December 10, 2016. The postseason concluded on January 9, 2017 with the 2017 College Football Playoff National Championship, where the Clemson Tigers defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide to claim their second national title in school history. D'Angelo Brewer (born January 6, 1996) is an American football player. Early years Brewer was born in 1996 in Kankakee, Illinois, the son of Samuel Cotton and Keyatta Stampley. He attended Central High School (Tulsa, Oklahoma), Central High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. College career Brewer joined the Tulsa football team in 2014. He gained 837 rushing yards as a sophomore in 2015 and 1,435 as a junior in 2016. On September 24, 2016, he rushed for 252 yards against Fresno State. Mark Chapman (American Football)
Mark Chapman (born December 27, 1994) is an American football wide receiver who is currently a free agent. He was most recently a member of the Salt Lake Stallions of the Alliance of American Football (AAF). Chapman played college football at Central Michigan. He was selected by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats with the first overall pick in the 2018 CFL Draft. Professional career CFL On May 3, 2018, Chapman was selected with the first overall pick in the 2018 CFL Draft by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, after trading up with the Montreal Alouettes. Despite this, Chapman remained unsigned through May 20, 2018, despite the Tiger-Cats signing several other players that they drafted. Cooper Robert Rush (born November 21, 1993) is an American football quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Central Michigan, and was signed by the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2017.
