Lovech Province ( bg, Област Ловеч, translit=Oblast Lovech, former name Lovech okrug) is one of the 28 provinces of Bulgaria, lying at the northern centre of the country. The provinces of Bulgaria ( bg, области на България, oblasti na Bǎlgarija) are the first-level administrative subdivisions of the country. Yablanitsa Municipality
Yablanitsa Municipality ( bg, Община Ябланица) is a small municipality ('' obshtina'') in Lovech Province, Central-North Bulgaria, located in the area of the so-called Fore-Balkan, north of Stara Planina mountain. It is named after its administrative centre - the town of Yablanitsa. The municipality embraces a territory of 276 km² with a population of 6,427 inhabitants, as of December 2009. As of 2010, the west operating part of Hemus motorway ends near the main town. The motorway is planned to connect the capital city of Sofia with the port of Varna on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast. Ugarchin
Ugarchin ( bg, Угърчин ) is a town located along the Kamenitsa river in the Lovech Province in central northern Bulgaria. It is the administrative centre of the homonymous Ugarchin Municipality. The town is about 30 kilometers away in the west from the main centre of the province - Lovech. As of December 2009, it had a population of 2,832 inhabitants which sunk to 2,354 by end of 2018. Ugarchin is situated in the northern part of the Balkan Mountains at the foot the high peaks and down the river Kamenitsa and its minor tributaries: Lepetora, Sveta, Greshki Dol and others. It is situated in a basin rounded with small hills: Ivan Dyal hill to the south; Visokata Mogila (Chukara) to the east; to the north are Beli Kamak, Sredno Bardo and Zabiti Kamak hills; and to the west are Goli Rat and Chukata. Troyan
Troyan ( bg, Троян ) List of cities and towns in Bulgaria, is a town remembering the name of Roman Emperor Trajan, in Lovech Province in central Bulgaria with population of 21,997 inhabitants, as of December 2009. It is the administrative centre of the homonymous Troyan Municipality. The town is about away from the country capital Sofia. The river of Beli Osam passes through the heart of the town. The 2021 Census indicates that the population of the Trojan was 18,449 inhabitants. The ethnic distribution of the inhabitants (as of 2009) is ethnic Bulgarians (87.29%), with minorities being Roma (1.23%) and Turks (1.03%). The ethnicity for 10,21% of inhabitants is not known. Troyan Municipality ( bg, Община Троян) is a municipality ('' obshtina'') in Lovech Province, Central-North Bulgaria, located from the northern slopes of the central Stara planina mountain to the area of the Fore-Balkan. It is named after its administrative centre - the town of Troyan. The municipality embraces a territory of 888.85 km² with a population of 33,827 inhabitants, as of December 2009. Teteven
Teteven ( bg, Тетевен, ) is a town on the banks of the Vit river, at the foot of Stara Planina mountain in north central Bulgaria. It is the administrative centre of the Teteven Municipality which is a part of Lovech Province. As of December 2010, the town had a population of 10,733 inhabitants. Geography Teteven is located in a mountainous area, in the foothills of the Balkan mountains between the peaks Ostrich, Petrahilya, Cherven, Treskavets and Vezhen. The river Vit meanders through the town. The altitude of Teteven district varies from 340 to 2100 m, and in the town center it is 415 m. The climate is temperate continental with cold winters and cool summers. The territory of Teteven is about 697 km², which is 16.86% of the territory of Lovech district.
