	Lamas, Norfolk Lamas (also spelled Lammas) is a village in Broadland, Norfolk, England. Administratively it falls within the civil parish of Buxton with Lamas. The village's name means "loam marsh". Location Located between Norwich and Aylsham, Lamas is a linear village immediately to the east of the larger village of Buxton, and where the two meet is Buxton Mill. Lamas is separated by the River Bure from Buxton. Description Lamas gives the impression of being a sleepy, rural place. Today it has no pubs or shops, being served by Buxton. The village's two main roads are called The Street and Scottow Road (which is the continuation of The Street leading to RAF Coltishall). 	Lamas, Peru Lamas is the Capital (political), capital of the Lamas Province, situated in the San Martín Region of northern Peru. There are 16,871 inhabitants, according to the 2007 census. The 2005 northern Peru earthquake shook Lamas, killing 5 people and injuring 174; hundreds were left homeless. History Lamas has been conquered twice. The first time was for those Pocras and the group of those Hanan Chanka, Chancas who when being defeated supposedly in the battle of Yahuarpampa for the troops of the Inca Pachacuti, Pachacútec in 1438 and conquered their territories natives like Ayacucho, they abandoned their territory and they went into the forest. In their trajectory they found a favorable area to be located, the hill where today the city is located of Lamas, which was inhabited by one of the indigenous groups of the area. picture info	Miranda Do Corvo Municipality Miranda do Corvo () is a town and a municipality in the Portuguese district of Coimbra, with an area of and 2011 population of 13,098 inhabitants. History The first reference to the region of Miranda do Corvo arrived at the end of the 10th century, although evidence of archaeological evidence to human settlement extend further back in history. The 10th century document that referenced these lands were associated with the Monastery of Lorvão in 998, that identified a military structure in Miranda do Corvo, that included tower.
