LGBT Rights In Malta
Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) rights in Malta are of the highest standards, even in comparison to other European countries. Throughout the late 20th and early 21st centuries, the rights of the LGBT community received more awareness and same-sex sexual activity was legalized in 1973, with an equal age of consent. According to the Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC), Malta has been recognised for providing a high degree of liberty to its LGBT citizens. Since October 2015, ILGA-Europe has ranked Malta 1st in terms of LGBT rights legislation out of 49 observed European countries, a ranking it has upheld ever since, as of 2021. Death by burning (also known as immolation) is an execution and murder method involving combustion or exposure to extreme heat. William Lithgow (c. 1582 – c. 1645) was a Scottish traveller, writer and alleged spy. He claimed at the end of his various peregrinations to have tramped 36,000 miles (57,936km) on foot.
