Kohlu District
Kohlu district ( bal, کوہلو, ur, ) is a district of the Balochistan province of Pakistan. It is bounded in the north by Loralai District, Dera Bugti in the south, Barkhan in the east, and Sibi District in the west. Demographics At the time of the 2017 census the district had a population of 213,933, of which 112,124 were males and 101,809 females. Rural population was 196,490 (91.85%) while the urban population was 17,443 (8.15%). The literacy rate was 18.77% - the male literacy rate was 25.91% while the female literacy rate was 10.48%. 289 people in the district were from religious minorities. At the time of the 2017 census, 93.15% of the population spoke Balochi and 5.09% Pashto as their first language. Loralai District ( ur, ) is a district in the northeast of Balochistan province of Pakistan. Loralai town is the district headquarters. Demographics At the time of the 2017 census the district had a population of 244,446, of which 130,484 were males and 113,950 females. Rural population was 189,597 (77.56%) while the urban population was 54,849 (22.44%). Ghazan Marri
Ghazan Marri ( ur, مير غزن مری) is a politician from Balochistan, Pakistan. Marri is the son of politician Nawab Khair Bakhsh Marri. Life Marri's late brother, Balach Marri, was a BLA leader who was declared to be a terrorist by Pakistan. In 2006, he was arrested in the United Arab Emirates at the request of the Pakistan authorities, in connection with the murder of judge Nawaz Marri. He was later tried in an anti-terrorist court in Pakistan. In 2017, he returned to Pakistan, ending an 18-year exile in the UAE. Marri said he intended to face all court cases pending against him, and would join mainstream politics. Sher Mohammad Marri
Sher Mohammad Marri ( bal, میر شير محمد مری) was the chief of the Marri Baloch tribe in Pakistan, and an early leader in the Parrari movement which would lead to the formation of the Baloch Liberation Army, a militant nationalist group. A Marxist, he had close ties to leftist governments in Kabul and Moscow. Life Sher Muhammad Marri was born in Kohlu, Balochistan, British India in 1935. He was also known as Babu Shero, Shero Marri, General Sherof and Baloch Tiger. Insurgency Sher Mohammad was the first Baloch to use the tactics of modern guerrilla warfare against the government. In early 1960s his Parari fighters attacked the Pakistani Armed Forces in the Marri area and in Jahlawan under Mir Ali Muhammad Mengal. Khair Bakhsh Marri
Nawab Khair Bakhsh Marri (28 February 1928 – 10 June 2014), bal, نواب خیر بخش مری) was Pakistani politician from the province of Balochistan in Pakistan. Early life and career Khair Bakhsh Marri had received his early education in Kohlu, Balochistan and higher education from Aitchison College, Lahore. Nawab Marri admitted himself in a 2008 interview that he was a 'latecomer' into politics due to the comfortable life he spent at Aitcheson College, Lahore and that he was indifferent to politics in his youth. Only when oil and gas exploration started in the Marri tribal areas during General Ayub Khan's regime in Pakistan, his tribal nationalist feelings and political consciousness were aroused. Alif Ailaan ( ur, ) was a nonprofit organization working in the field of education in Pakistan from 2013 to 2018. Launched by a team of media and communications specialists, the program aimed to highlight education on priority basis in Pakistan and make the masses aware of the importance of education. It ran campaigns in print, on radio and television, and on social media for awareness of the masses about education. The program conducts seminars and surveys and publishes the highly cited district education rankings report. Barkhan ( Balochi: بارکھئوں, ur, , ) is a district in the Pakistani province of Balochistan. It shares its borders with the province of Punjab to the east and the Balochistan districts of Dera Bugti to the south, Kohlu to the west, Loralai to the northwest and Musakhel to the north. Dera Bugti ( Balochi and Urdu: ) is a district within the Balochistan province of Pakistan. It was established as a separate district in 1983. Administration The district is administratively subdivided into Four sub-divisions, these are: * Pirkoh * Dera Bugti * Phelawagh * Sui (Balochistan) Demography At the time of the 2017 census the district had a population of 313,110, of which 165,056 were males and 148,053 females.
