The Book of Kings (, '' Sēfer Məlāḵīm'') is a book in the Hebrew Bible, found as two books (1–2 Kings) in the Old Testament of the Christian Bible. Kings (provincial Electoral District)
Kings was a provincial electoral district in Nova Scotia, Canada that, at the time of its dissolution, elected two members to the Nova Scotia House of Assembly. It existed from 1867 until 1956, when Kings County was divided into the three electoral districts of Kings North, Kings South and Kings West. They are best known for their 1980 song "This Beat Goes On/Switchin' To Glide", which was a hit in the United States and Canada. Recording history The Kings were formed in Vancouver, British Columbia, and Oakville, Ontario in the late 1970s. The original lineup included David Diamond, bass, lead vocals; Mister Zero (aka John Picard, listed as Aryan Zero in the original "Kings Are Here" LP liner notes), guitar; Sonny Keyes, keyboards and vocals; and Max Styles (drums), with Zero and Diamond serving as the main songwriters with contributions from Keyes. The Kings were originally known as WhistleKing and rehearsed, performed club gigs, and wrote a considerable number of songs for more than three years. Kingdon Chapple-Wilson, known professionally as Kings, is a New Zealand rapper, singer and songwriter. He has been producing music under his self-run label Arch Angel Records since 2018 and broke the record of longest running No. 1 New Single in 2017 for his song "Don't Worry Bout' It". Kings Family Restaurants is a chain of family restaurants based in North Versailles, Pennsylvania. It has locations in Pennsylvania and Ohio. Kings logo has scarlet colored lettering, with a saffron outline. History Kings began in North Versailles, Pennsylvania in 1967 as Kings Country Shoppes. This name was later changed to Kings Family Restaurants to indicate the establishment was a restaurant rather than a store. By 1980 the number of restaurants had grown to 7, and 24 by 1990.
