Judo At The 2014 Commonwealth Games
Judo competitions at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland were held from 24 July to 26 July at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre. Judo returned to the program after last being held at the 2002 Commonwealth Games. England and home nation Scotland dominated the tournament, with six golds apiece, England leading the table on minor medals. Wales and South Africa won a single gold medal each. In all 15 nations won medals. Scottish Exhibition And Conference Centre
The SEC Centre (originally known as the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre until 2017) is Scotland's largest exhibition centre, located in Glasgow, Scotland. It is one of the three main venues within the Scottish Event Campus. Since the opening of the original buildings in 1985, the complex has undergone two major expansions; the first being the SEC Armadillo in 1997, and then the OVO Hydro in 2013. Thomas David Reed (born 29 January 1986) is a British judoka. Judo career He began his training at Devizes judo club before joining Team Bath's High-Performance Training Programme in 2003, aged 16. In 2006, following a gap year, in which he trained at Tokai University in Japan, he began a degree in Business Administration at the University of Bath. The same year, coached by Jurgan Klinger, he won bronze in the European under 23 Judo Championships in Moscow.
