ITTF-Oceania Cup
The ITTF-Oceania Cup is an annual table tennis event held by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF). The event features men's and women's singles tournaments, with the winners qualifying for the table tennis World Cup. Since 2011, the event has also included the Pacific Cup, a separate tournament which excludes players from Australia and New Zealand. Oceania Table Tennis Federation
The Oceania Table Tennis Federation (OTTF) is a table tennis organization founded on 1 June 1977, recognized by International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) as its continental federation in Oceania. Discussions began at the Commonwealth Table Tennis Championships held in Melbourne, 1975. Seven foundation members were New Zealand, Australia, Guam, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, New Caledonia and Tahiti. Chunli Li
Chunli Li (, born 28 February 1962) is a Chinese-born New Zealand female professional table tennis player. She won a gold, silver and two bronze medals at the 2002 Commonwealth Games to cap off her long career. Li was born in Guiping, Guigang, Guangxi in 1962. She became one of the top table tennis players in China, specialising as a doubles player. Li migrated to New Zealand in 1987 and subsequently represented New Zealand until she retired in 2004 to concentrate as the national coach. She competed at four Olympic Games and one Commonwealth Games for New Zealand. Since 2011, she came out of her "retirement" and started representing New Zealand again. Li led the New Zealand team at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. The Oceania Table Tennis Championships is a biennial table tennis tournament held by Oceania Table Tennis Federation (OTTF). The 2019 ITTF-Oceania Cup was a table tennis event that took place from 25–26 May in Bora Bora, French Polynesia. The competition was organised by ITTF-Oceania, under the authority of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF). It was the 11th edition of the event, and the first time that it had been held in French Polynesia. Men's singles and women's singles competitions were held, with the winner of each event qualifying automatically for the 2019 Men's and Women's World Cups. Sally Yee
Sally Yee (born April 10, 2001) is a Fijian table tennis player who represented Fiji at the 2020 Summer Olympics. She also competed in the 2016 Summer Olympics in the women's singles event. She won 3 silver medals and a bronze at the 2019 Pacific Games. Career Fiji entered her into the table tennis competition at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games for the first time in the nation's Olympic history. She secured a spot in the women's singles by virtue of her top three finish at the 2016 Oceania Qualification Tournament in Bendigo, Australia. Grace Yee
Grace Yee is a poet, writer and creative writing teacher. Her debut verse novel, ''Chinese Fish'', won both the Victorian Prize for Literature and the Mary and Peter Biggs Award for Poetry in 2024. Early life and education Yee was born in British Hong Kong and grew up in New Zealand and Australia. She graduated from Deakin University with a MA. David Powell (born 8 April 1991 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia) is an Australian table tennis player. He competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the men's singles event, in which he was eliminated in the preliminary round by Marcelo Aguirre, and as part of the Australian team in the men's team event.
