The ICC Women's Championship (IWC) is an international cricket tournament used to determine qualification for the Women's Cricket World Cup. The first two tournaments were contested between the top eight teams of the ICC Women's Rankings. The first edition was the 2014–16 ICC Women's Championship, which started in April 2014 and was concluded in November 2016. Australia were the winners of the inaugural tournament. The second edition of the tournament started in October 2017, with the top four teams automatically qualifying for the 2021 Women's Cricket World Cup. In September 2018, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced that they were exploring the option to expand the IWC to all ten teams, therefore including Bangladesh and Ireland in future editions of the competition. Ireland Women's Cricket Team
The Ireland women's cricket team represents Ireland in international women's cricket. Cricket in Ireland is governed by Cricket Ireland and organised on an All-Ireland basis, meaning the Irish women's team represents both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. 2017–2020 ICC Women's Championship
The 2017–2020 ICC Women's Championship was the second edition of the ICC Women's Championship, a Women's One Day International cricket (WODI) competition that was contested by eight teams, to determine qualification for the 2022 Women's Cricket World Cup. The top four teams, along with hosts New Zealand, qualified directly for the World Cup. The remaining three teams progressed to the 2021 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier tournament. In the previous tournament, the first three WODIs counted towards qualification. ICC Women's ODI And T20I Rankings
The ICC Women's Rankings were launched on 1 October 2015 covering all three formats of women's cricket. The ranking system gives equal weight to results of Test, ODI, and T20 matches. It was designed by statistician and ICC Cricket Committee member David Kendix and utilizes the same methodology as men's cricket rankings. Each team scores points based on the results of their matches over the last 3−4 years − all matches played in the 12-24 months since the first of October before last, plus all the matches played in the 24 months before that, for which the matches played and points earned both count half. On 1 October of every year, the matches and points earned between 3 and 4 years ago are removed, and the matches and points earned between 1 and 2 years ago switch from 100% weighting to 50% weighting. 2021 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier
The 2021 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier was an international women's cricket tournament that was held in Zimbabwe in November and December 2021. The tournament was the final part of the qualification process for the 2022 Women's Cricket World Cup. All of the regional qualification tournaments used the Women's Twenty20 International format. Bangladesh Women's National Cricket Team
The Bangladesh women's national cricket team is the team that represents the country of Bangladesh in international women's cricket matches. They made their international debut when they played, and won, two matches against Thailand in July 2007 before participating in and winning the 2007 ACC Women's Tournament. Women's One Day International Cricket
Women's One Day International (WODI) is the limited overs form of women's cricket. Matches are scheduled for 50 overs, equivalent to the men's game. The first women's ODIs were played in 1973, as part of the first Women's World Cup which was held in England. The first ODI saw the hosts beat an International XI. The 1,000th women's ODI took place between South Africa and New Zealand on 13 October 2016.
