Holbæk Municipality
Holbæk Municipality () is a '' kommune'' in northwestern Region Sjælland on the island of Zealand in Denmark. The municipality includes the island of Orø, and covers an area of 583 km², and has a total population of 74,490 (2025). Its mayor is Christina Krzyrosiak Hansen, a member of the Social Democrats and the youngest mayor ever in Denmark. The main town and the site of its municipal council is the city of Holbæk. On 1 January 2007 Holbæk municipality was, as the result of ''Kommunalreformen'' ("The Municipal Reform" of 2007), merged with existing Jernløse, Svinninge, Tornved, and Tølløse municipalities to form a new Holbæk municipality. Municipalities Of Denmark
Denmark is divided into five regions of Denmark, regions, which contain 98 municipalities (, ; , ). The Capital Region of Denmark, Capital Region has 29 municipalities, Region of Southern Denmark, Southern Denmark 22, Central Denmark Region, Central Denmark 19, Region Zealand, Zealand 17 and North Denmark Region, North Denmark 11. The government intends to merge R. Hovedstaden with R. Sjælland 1 January 2027 to form Region Østdanmark (Region of Eastern Denmark). Jyderup
Jyderup is an old town, with a population of 4,300 (1 January 2025), in Holbæk Municipality, northwestern Zealand (Denmark), Zealand in Denmark. It is situated roughly halfway between the larger cities of Kalundborg and Holbæk on the west and east, respectively, and is surrounded by forest and farmland. The town is bordered on the west by the lake of Skarresø. Jyderup is split in two parts divided by the road between Holbæk and Kalundborg named ''Skovvejen'' (English: ''Forest Road''). The town is served by Jyderup railway station which is located on the Northwest Line (Denmark), railway line between Holbæk and Kalundborg. The northeastern part is the oldest, containing the 13th-century church. The southwestern part was built when the railroad was constructed in the early 1900s, and contains most of the shops and stores in the town. 2017 Danish Local Elections
Local elections were held on 21 November 2017 for Denmark's 98 municipal councils and five regional councils. All 2,432 seats were contested for the 2018–21 term of office, together with 205 seats (a fixed number of 41 seats in each council) in five regional councils. 2005 Danish Local Elections
Local elections were held in Denmark on 15 November 2005. 2522 municipal council members were elected in Denmark's 98 municipalities and 205 regional council members in the five regions. Most of these were newly formed municipalities, namely 66 municipalities, that would only begin working from Monday 1 January 2007, as would the newly formed regions, and one municipality, Ærø, which was also part of the reform, which was allowed by the government to commence work for the first time already Sunday 1 January 2006. So the first term of office in ''this'' newly created municipality was the whole period of four years from 2006 until 2009. Venstre (Denmark)
(, , V), full name (), is a conservative-liberal, agrarian political party in Denmark. Founded as part of a peasants' movement against the landed aristocracy, today it espouses an economically liberal, pro- free-market ideology. is the major party of the centre-right in Denmark, and the second-largest party in the country. The Danish People's Party (DPP; , DF) is a nationalist and right-wing populist political party in Denmark. It was formed in 1995 by former members of the Progress Party (FrP). The party saw a period of significant growth after its founding and lent its support to the – Conservative People's Party coalition government that ruled from the general election of 2001 until the 2011 election defeat. Socialist People's Party (Denmark)
The Green Left, since March 2022 the English name for Socialistisk Folkeparti (, , abbr. SF), is a democratic socialist political party in Denmark.
