The Hangzhou Metro () is a rapid transit system that serves Hangzhou in Zhejiang province, China. The system opened on November 24, 2012. It is the 17th city in China to operate a rapid transit system. Network Metro Commuter rail Description There are currently 13 lines (12 metro lines and 1 commuter rail) in operation. Line 2 (Hangzhou Metro)
Line 2 of the Hangzhou Metro () is a north-south rapid transit line, connecting the downtown with the districts of Xiaoshan and Yuhang in Hangzhou. The first phase of the line, between and stations, entered operation on 24 November 2014 after six years of construction. Line 1 of the Hangzhou Metro () is an arc-shaped rapid transit line running from Xianghu station in western Xiaoshan District to Xiaoshan International Airport in eastern Xiaoshan District, passing through downtown Hangzhou. The line opened on 24 November 2012. It is the oldest in the city's metro network. The line is long with 33 stations. Qiantang District
Qiantang District is a District (China), district in Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang, Zhejiang Province in China. In August 2019, the Hangzhou Qiantang New Area, a provincial-level new area in Zhejiang established, and later has been transformed into a new area and integrated with the Hangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, a national-level development zone established in 1990. Hangzhou East Railway Station
Hangzhoudong (Hangzhou East) railway station () is a railway station located in Shangcheng District, Hangzhou, Zhejiang, People's Republic of China. Originally built as a small station serving the Shanghai-Kunming railway, it has been rebuilt as a high-speed rail hub, which became operational on 1 July 2013. History The old station opened in 1992, located on Tiancheng Road. It was closed on 20 January 2010, and demolished. Its train services were moved to Hangzhou railway station and Hangzhou South railway station. A new station was built on the site. It officially opened on 1 July 2013, in conjunction with the opening of the Hangzhou–Ningbo High-Speed Railway and Nanjing–Hangzhou Passenger Railway. Hangzhou Railway Station
Hangzhou railway station ( or ) is located in Shangcheng District, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province of China. It is affiliated to Shanghai Railway Bureau, and is also the terminal of the Shanghai–Hangzhou Railway. The station is ranked first-class. History The station was first built in 1906 as a stop along the Jiang-Shu railway (), and at that time was called "Qing Tai Men Station" (). It was opened on 23 August 1907 as the railway was put into use. Because the station was hundreds of meters away from Hangzhou City at that time, the residents inside the city found it inconvenient. West Lake
West Lake (; ) is a freshwater lake in Hangzhou, China. It is divided into five sections by three causeways. There are numerous temples, pagodas, gardens, and natural/artificial islands within the lake. Gushan (孤山) is the largest natural island and three artificial islands: Xiaoyingzhou (小瀛洲), Huixin Pavilion (湖心亭), and Ruan Gongdun (阮公墩) stand at the middle of the lake. Leifeng Pagoda (雷峰塔) and Baochu Pagoda (保俶塔) are separated by the lake. Mirroring each other, the basic pattern of "one mountain, two towers, three islands, three banks, and five lakes" is formed. Qiantang River
The Qiantang River, formerly known as the Hangchow River and alternatively romanised as the Tsientang River, is a river in East China.
