GIF Sundsvall
Gymnastik- och Idrottsföreningen Sundsvall, more commonly known as GIF Sundsvall (), Giffarna or simply Sundsvall, is a Swedish professional football club based in Sundsvall. The club is affiliated with Medelpads Fotbollförbund and plays its home games at NP3 Arena with a capacity of roughly 8 000 spectators. Formed on 25 August 1903, the club has played 19 seasons in Sweden's highest football league Allsvenskan, the club's first season in the league was in 1965. GIF Sundsvall is placed twenty-second in the overall Allsvenskan table maratontabellen. The club colours, reflected in their crest and kit, are blue, yellow and white. Erik Andersson (born 3 May 1997) is a Swedish footballer who plays for GIF Sundsvall as a midfielder. Career Erik Andersson made his debut for Landskrona BoIS as a 15-year-old, on 29 October 2012. He scored his first goal in the same match, a 3–2 victory over Jönköpings Södra IF. The goal made Andersson the youngest ever goalscorer in Superettan. On 1 January 2015 Andersson signed a four-year-contract with Malmö FF. During his time in Malmö, Andersson struggled with injuries and left the club with only one cup appearance. Peter Makrillos (born 4 September 1995), is an Australian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Seoul E-Land FC. Alexander Blomqvist (born 3 August 1994) is a Swedish footballer. He is currently playing for GIF Sundsvall in Superettan. Career Club career On 23 November 2012 Blomqvist signed a first team contract on a youth basis with Malmö FF. Blomqvist made his Allsvenskan debut for Malmö FF in a home fixture against Kalmar FF on 14 April 2013. Ettan Fotboll, or simply Ettan ( en, the one), which also is its common name in everyday speech, is the third level in the Swedish football league system and consists of 32 Swedish football teams.
