Eva Berneke (born 22 April 1969) is a Danish engineer and company executive. Since January 2022 she is the CEO of Eutelsat. Biography Early life and education She graduated from DTU - Technical University of Denmark, where she obtained a master's degree in mechanical engineering in 1992. She also holds an MBA from INSEAD, obtained in 1995. Career She began her career as a consultant and partner at McKinsey in France. In 2007, she joined TDC, the main Danish telecommunications company, where she held the positions of Chief Strategy Officer in the "Mobiles" subsidiary, TDC A/S, Mobile Nordic and became Vice-Executive President until 2014. Hot Bird
Hot Bird (also styled HOTBIRD) is a group of satellites operated by Eutelsat, located at 13 °E over the equator ( orbital position) and with a transmitting footprint over Asia, Europe, North Africa, Americas and the Middle East. Only digital radio and television channels are transmitted by the Hot Bird constellation, both free-to-air and encrypted. In addition there are a few interactive and IP services. Sky One
Sky One was a British pay television channel operated and owned by Sky Group (a division of Comcast). Originally launched on 26 April 1982 as Satellite Television, it was Europe's first satellite and non-terrestrial channel. The abbreviation S.A. or SA designates a type of limited company in certain countries, most of which have a Romance language as their official language and employ civil law. Originally, shareholders could be literally anonymous and collect dividends by surrendering coupons attached to their share certificates. Dividends were therefore paid to whoever held the certificate. Share certificates could be transferred privately, and therefore the management of the company would not necessarily know who owned its shares. As with bearer bonds, anonymous unregistered share ownership and dividend collection enabled money laundering, tax evasion, and concealed business transactions in general, so governments passed laws to audit the practice.
