Esporte Clube São José, commonly referred to as São José, is a Brazilian professional club based in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul founded on 24 May 1913. It competes in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série C, the third tier of Brazilian football, as well as in the Campeonato Gaúcho, the top flight of the Rio Grande do Sul state football league. History São José was founded in 1913, when, among conversations and soccer games during class breaks at São José High School, a group of students decided to leave the school fields to face big teams in the professional fields. Estádio Passo D'Areia
Estádio Francisco Novelletto Neto, better known as Estádio Passo D'Areia is a multi-use stadium located in Porto Alegre, Brazil. The Copa Federação Gaúcha de Futebol, commonly known as the Copa FGF, is an annual cup competition organized by the Rio Grande do Sul state football federation for clubs that are in the first, second and third divisions of the Campeonato Gaúcho. It is held in the second half of the year and usually clubs participating in the higher levels of the Campeonato Brasileiro do not participate with the first team squad, using his academy. The competition was founded in 2004, being the most important knockout cup competition in Rio Grande do Sul football. Thiago Gomes Pacheco (born 12 May 1984) is a Brazilian football manager, currently in charge of São José-RS. Career Born in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Gomes started his career with Internacional, being a manager of their youth categories and an assistant of the B-team for six years. In 2011, he moved to Atlético Paranaense and worked as a scout and assistant manager. In 2013, after a period in charge of São José-RS' under-20 squad, Gomes was named Osmar Loss' assistant at the under-20 team of Corinthians. He followed Loss to Bragantino in April 2015, but left the club after being sacked in July. Gomes subsequently returned to São José just days after leaving Bragantino, being now appointed first team manager.
