Thiago Gomes (football Manager)
Thiago Gomes Pacheco (born 12 May 1984) is a Brazilian football manager, currently in charge of São José-RS. Career Born in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Gomes started his career with Internacional, being a manager of their youth categories and an assistant of the B-team for six years. In 2011, he moved to Atlético Paranaense and worked as a scout and assistant manager. In 2013, after a period in charge of São José-RS' under-20 squad, Gomes was named Osmar Loss' assistant at the under-20 team of Corinthians. He followed Loss to Bragantino in April 2015, but left the club after being sacked in July. Gomes subsequently returned to São José just days after leaving Bragantino, being now appointed first team manager. However, he did not stay at the club after accepting an invitation from Paulo Roberto Falcão to work as his assistant at Sport Recife. Campeonato Brasileiro Série C
The Campeonato Brasileiro Série C is the third tier of the Brazilian football league system. Unlike the first and second divisions, the Série C is not played in a double round robin system, arguably because many participating teams lack the financial conditions to travel long distances. Thus, the tournament is organized in regional groups and the table prevents teams from distant states from playing each other in the initial rounds. Until 2008, any professional team could apply, but only 64 teams would take part in the tournament. The teams that had been relegated from the Série B in the previous year were joined by teams qualified for each federation state. Qualification rules varied, some federations used the state tournaments as qualification tournaments, others organized exclusive qualification tournaments to the Série C. Tiago Retzlaff Nunes (born 15 February 1980) is a Brazilian football manager, currently in charge of Peruvian club Sporting Cristal. Career Born in Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul, Nunes was a youth player at hometown side Riograndense; initially a midfielder, he switched to central defender before ending his playing career due to a knee injury. He then began his career as a fitness coach in the early 2003, and worked at hometown side Inter de Santa Maria, Clube Atlético Camponovense, São Luiz-RS (two spells), Santo Ângelo, Pelotas, Bacabal, Luverdense (two spells) and Novo Horizonte.
