Eagan, Minnesota
Eagan ( ) is a city in Dakota County, Minnesota. It is south of Saint Paul and lies on the south bank of the Minnesota River, upstream from the confluence with the Mississippi River. Eagan and the other nearby suburbs form the southern section of the Minneapolis–Saint Paul area. Eagan's population was 68,855 at the 2020 census. The city was home to the headquarters of Northwest Airlines (now Delta Air Lines). History Eagan was named for Patrick Eagan, who was the first chairman of the town board of supervisors. He farmed a parcel of land near the present-day town hall. Eagan (born 1811) and his wife Margaret Twohy (born 1816) emigrated from Tipperary, Ireland to Troy, New York, where they married in 1843. Minnesota River
The Minnesota River ( dak, Mnísota Wakpá) is a tributary of the Mississippi River, approximately 332 miles (534 km) long, in the U.S. state of Minnesota. It drains a watershed of in Minnesota and about in South Dakota and Iowa. It rises in southwestern Minnesota, in Big Stone Lake on the Minnesota–South Dakota border just south of the Laurentian Divide at the Traverse Gap portage. Minnesota State Highway 110
Minnesota State Highway 110 (MN 110) was a short connector state highway in Minnesota, which ran from an interchange with MN 55 in Mendota Heights to an interchange with Interstate 494 (I-494) in Inver Grove Heights, south of downtown Saint Paul. On October 23, 2017, the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) announced that MN 110 would be renamed as an extension of MN 62. MnDOT said the change was necessary to prevent confusion to visitors and residents. MN 62 signs went up in August 2018, while MN 110 signs were labelled "Old Highway 110" for one year after the switch. Interstate 35E (I-35E) is an Interstate Highway in the US state of Minnesota, passing through downtown Saint Paul, Minnesota, Saint Paul. It is one of two through routes for Interstate 35 in Minnesota, I-35 through the Minneapolis-Saint Paul, Twin Cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul, the other being Interstate 35W (Minnesota), I-35W through Minneapolis. Minnesota State Highway 77 (MN 77) is a highway in Minnesota, which runs from its intersection with 138th Street (north of Dakota County Road 42) in Apple Valley and continues north to its northern terminus at its interchange with State Highway 62 in Minneapolis. MN 77 is also known as Cedar Avenue. The southern end of MN 77 continues in Apple Valley as Dakota County Road 23 (Cedar Avenue). Mendota is a city in Dakota County, Minnesota, United States. The name is derived from the Dakota language, meaning "mouth or junction of one river with another. The population was 198 at the 2010 census.
