Hoseo
Hoseo (; literally "west of the lake") is a region coinciding with the former Chungcheong Province in what is now South Korea. Today, the term refers to Daejeon, Sejong City, South Chungcheong and North Chungcheong Provinces. Hoseo people use Chungcheong dialect. The name is often used to refer to people residing in the region. Nowadays Chungcheong is more frequently used instead of Hoseo. Daejeon
Daejeon () is South Korea's fifth-largest metropolis, with a population of 1.5 million as of 2019. Located in the central-west region of South Korea alongside forested hills and the Geum River, the city is known both for its technology and research institutions, and for celebrating its natural environment, with most mountains, hot springs, and rivers freely open for public use. Park Jung-hyun (politician)
Park Jung-hyun (; 4 November 1964) is a South Korean politician serving as Mayor of Daedeok District of Daejeon and Daejeon's first woman district mayor from July 2018. Before entering politics in 2010, Park had worked at environmental organisations most notably as Green Korea United's deputy secretary general from 2008 after Kim Je-nam and its Daejeon- Chungnam branch's secretary general from 1997.
