Córdoba–Málaga Railway
The Córdoba–Málaga railway is an Iberian-gauge railway line in Spain. It branches from the Alcázar de San Juan–Cádiz railway at Córdoba and terminates at Málaga María Zambrano. It was once the only line linking Madrid to Málaga, but now primarily serves local commuter rail services and regional traffic since the opening of the Madrid–Málaga high-speed rail line in 2013. Services The line is used by Cercanías Málaga's C-1 service as far as Álora, and regional services from Málaga to Ronda via Bobadilla. Córdoba railway station, also known as Córdoba Central is the main railway station of the Spanish city of Córdoba, Andalusia. It was opened in 1994 replacing an older station. Cercanías Málaga is a commuter rail service between central Málaga, Spain, and towns in the province. The network consists of of track, with two lines and 24 stations in operation. The trains are powered by overhead lines and run on broad Iberian gauge track. History In 1908 the first line of the Ferrocarriles Suburbanos de Málaga opened; a metre-gauge rail network connecting Málaga to Vélez-Málaga. This line was later extended to Ventas de Zafarraya, along with lines to Coín and Fuengirola. The lines closed in stages between 1960 and 1968. Ronda
Ronda () is a town in the Spanish province of Málaga. It is located about west of the city of Málaga, within the autonomous community of Andalusia. Its population is about 35,000. Ronda is known for its cliff-side location and a deep chasm that carries the Guadalevín River and divides the town. Álora is a town and municipality in southern Spain in the province of Málaga, in the autonomous community of Andalusia. Located c. 40 km from Málaga, on the right bank of the river Guadalhorce and on the Córdoba-Málaga railway, within the comarca of Valle del Guadalhorce. Málaga María Zambrano Railway Station
Málaga María Zambrano railway station (Spanish: Málaga María Zambrano) is the principal railway station in the city Málaga in Andalusia, Spain on the Córdoba-Málaga high-speed rail line. It is served by high-speed trains to Madrid, Barcelona as well as the Cercanías Málaga and Málaga Metro systems.
