The Córdoba International Animation Festival – ANIMA is a competitive animated film and media festival held in Córdoba, Argentina. ANIMA's first edition was held in April 2001, and has been replicated in odd years since, therefore being Argentina's first and longest standing animation festival. ''Bestia'' (Spanish: ''Bestia'') is a 2021 Chilean stop-motion animated short film directed by Hugo Covarrubias and co-written with Martín Erazo. The film won Best Animated Short Subject at the 49th Annie Awards. It also made the shortlist for Best Animated Short Film at the 94th Academy Awards, later achieving the nomination, becoming the second Chilean animated short film to be nominated for an Oscar after '' Bear Story'' in 2016, which won the award. Ainslie Thomas Henderson (born 28 January 1979) is a Scottish animator and singer-songwriter. He gained fame via his participation in the BBC's television programme, ''Fame Academy'', in 2002''.'' He signed a recording contract with Mercury Records after leaving the show, having been placed fourth. His subsequent single, " Keep Me a Secret", written alongside fellow contestants in Fame Academy, reached the fifth position on the UK Singles Chart. Andreas Hykade
Andreas Hykade (born 1968 in Altötting, Bavaria) is a German animator, cartoonist, and voice actor. Before studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart from 1988 to 1990, he attended König-Karlmann-Gymnasium Altötting. He worked as an animator in London in 1991, then studied animation at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg until 1995. Since then he works as animation director, partly at "Studio Filmbilder" in Stuttgart, and as the Professor for Animation at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. Hykade's trademark style is based on very simple characters which move in smooth animation.
