Círcol Catòlic De Badalona
Círcol Catòlic de Badalona (in Spanish, ''Círculo Católico de Badalona'') is a basketball club based in Badalona, Spain. History The club was founded in 1941 and competed in the third division until 1958, when it promotes to Segunda División. Círcol played ten seasons in this league before being relegated again to Tercera in 1970. In two years, the team achieved the promotion to the Liga Nacional. The team remained in the Liga Nacional (in 1983 renamed Liga ACB) until 1986. Círcol always played in Badalona until 1984 when the club was relocated to Santa Coloma de Gramenet until it was relegated to 1ª División B. Nowadays, the club continues competing in the Regional Divisions of Catalonia. Primera División De Baloncesto
The Primera División de Baloncesto is the fifth level in the Spanish basketball league system. Current format The Primera División works similar to the Tercera División of Spanish football. It is divided into fourteen groups, corresponding to the Autonomous communities of Spain excepting two of the groups: one that is shared by Basque Country, La Rioja and Navarra. In Catalonia known as ''Copa Catalunya''. The best teams are promoted to Liga EBA, some of them without playing any promotion playoffs with other groups. 1984–85 ACB Season
The 1984–85 ACB season was the 2nd season of the ACB Primera División, the top Spanish professional basketball league. It started on 23 September 1984 with the first round of the regular season and ended on 1 May 1985 with the finals. In this season, the league introduced the new FIBA rules with the three-point field goal as the main change. Real Madrid won their second consecutive ACB title, and their 24th Spanish title. 1983–84 ACB Season
The 1983–84 ACB season was the inaugural season of the ACB Primera División, the top Spanish professional basketball league. It started on 10 September 1983 with the first round of the regular season and ended on 13 April 1984 with the finals. The league was made up of the clubs that broke away from Spanish Basketball Federation at the end of the 1982–83 season with the aim to professionalize the league. The new league introduced the best-of-three playoffs at the end of the regular season just like in the Italian league. The 1983 Copa del Rey was the 47th edition of the Spanish basketball Cup. It was the last edition organized by the Spanish Basketball Federation and its final was played in Palencia.
