Céline Van Ouytsel is a Belgian beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Belgium 2020, and represented Belgium at Miss World 2022. Early life Van Ouytsel was born in Herentals, Antwerp, Belgium. She attended the University of Antwerp, where she received a Master of Laws degree. Pageantry Van Ouytsel's first pageant was Miss Antwerp 2016, where she was the second runner-up. She returned to pageantry four years later, when she competed in and won Miss Antwerp 2020. Miss Belgium 2020 Van Ouytsel represented Antwerp and won Miss Belgium 2020. She was also awarded the title Miss Social Networks. While competing in the evening gown portion of Miss Belgium, Van Ouytsel fell on stage, which resulted in a bra that had been stuck to her gown falling off and being left behind on stage; this received widespread attention throughout the Belgian media. Miss Belgium is a national beauty pageant in Belgium. The winner of Miss Belgium automatically represents her country at the Miss World and Miss Universe pageants if the dates do not overlap. History Queen of the Beach The first contest looking for the most beautiful girl in Belgium was in 1928. It was journalist Jean-Jacques Fortis who organised the contest "La Reine de la Plage" - "The Queen of the Beach" as a promotion for the journal Piccolo, now Le Soir. Kedist Deltour (born 29 July 1997) is a Belgian model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Belgium 2021. She represented her country at Miss World 2023 on March 9, 2024. Early life Deltour was born in Addis Ababa in Ethiopia. When she was eight years old, her mother died of cancer. Afterwards, her father remarried; Deltour's stepmother was physically abusive, and when she was nine years old, her father left her and her siblings in an orphanage.
